Hi Michael - I just spoke with Scott and Kamran regarding your feedback. Since your vehicle is a 2014 Malibu (out of warranty), the mechanic performed the minimal (lease expensive) route to repair the sensor code. Kamran & Scott (both) discussed the current repair, in hopes of removing the long term error codes. Please note, the initial repair, was necessary, in order to ensure the vehicle was safe for travel. That initial repair was completed. Subsequently, a secondary error code occurred. The repair of an initial issue, prompted the notification of a second issue. So, because of your mechanic's ineptness, I will have to drive around with the check engine light on and without being able to use the remote start. He told me that it was a different error code just so that I can be charged another $800.00. You are telling me the same thing. So when you fix one problem another one "magically" pops up that is different than the first one so that an unsuspecting customer like myself can be duped into paying an arm and a leg for basically an old fashioned tune-up. After having the car for a year and a half with no problems, all of a sudden the check engine light comes on and is supposedly fixed for $800.00. Then when it comes on again a few days after it was supposedly repaired, it is a different problem that was caused by the first problem! Why weren't both problems fixed? You folks at Golf Mill Chevrolet saw me coming! How do I know any work was even done on my car? It still hesitated when I accelerated after I was $800.00 lighter in my wallet just as it did before I brought it in. No work was done on my car. I would like the check engine light issue fixed and fixed properly at no extra charge. It should not matter whether or not the check engine light is on. It has been going on and off now for almost a month. If your mechanic needs to drive it around for a weekend to figure it out, I would need a loaner car. If the problem is identified and the work is done correctly, the check engine light should not come back on at all.

I don't know if my confidence will ever be fully restored. After charging me $3800 and not fixing my car on my first visit when I returned I should not have been charged another $382.63 to correctly fix the original problem. I was lied to and told that by replacing my rack and pinion and power steering pump my anti lock brake problem would be solved. I was skeptical of this diagnosis and questioned Scott on how leaking power steering fluid was connected to my brake problem, he told me " there is a sensor that senses air in the power steering system and it kicks on your anti lock brakes. This was total nonsense and I'm sorry I trusted him. When I brought the car back the problem was found a anti lock brake sensor harness was bad, replaced part problem solved, how was this missed the first visit. So a refund for the second visit ($382.63) seems only fair.
