Had appointment for recall and indicated I would be waiting for my car at the time appointment was scheduled. Was told it would take 2 1/2 hours because mechanics can not be pulled off cars they are wo waiting for my car at the time appointment was scheduled. Was told it would take 2 1/2 hours because mechanics can not be pulled off cars they are working on. Why have appointment? Did not want tire monitoring system looked at for $160.00. I knew it was the rear passenger side sensor. Could not get a price unless I paid $160.00. When recall was done, I received a call (4 1/2 hours later) stating mechanic looked at tire monitoring system and that it would cost $300.00 dollars. I stated I did not want to fix. After picking up car, all tire sensors not working. I also had to remove paper covering from floor, plastic on seat and steering wheel. Called service and now have to bring car back to see what mechanics did. More
the changes that have been made to the service department have made me question if I want to go there any longer. Went in for an oil change, waited as it shouldn't take that long, over an hour later I went have made me question if I want to go there any longer. Went in for an oil change, waited as it shouldn't take that long, over an hour later I went up to the service rep, he was rather short with me and said we have been really busy. I stated that people who came in after me were already gone. I was told he would check, told me it would be another 15 mintues, 30 minutes later I was finally leaving, over 1 1/2 hours for an oil change. More
My Volt failed emissions and I still have extended warranty so I brought it in. Right off the bat the young man was telling me all the costs and doom and gloom about fixing it. I joked with him abou warranty so I brought it in. Right off the bat the young man was telling me all the costs and doom and gloom about fixing it. I joked with him about saying things to curse me. Two conversations with him-was going to be $2k and "part number" wasn't uploaded and couldn't tell me if it was covered under my warranty. He goes to check on the part number. Then the big dog is at counter to tell me now the cost is $3k and they can't fix the part I can afford-they have to fix it all. I decline, what a load of crap. They are both shocked. I took it back to emission testing and the man tells me nothing is wrong any more (the xx engine light has gone off), but it's still not passing. We spoke about how I don't drive it often, and never on the highway. He suggests I drive it on the highway to get everything moving in the engine and drive it more. See what happens. That sounds like a plan I can work will. I will never go back to Golf Mill, nor buy a Chevy again. Japanese cars are the way to go. More
Horrible communication and timeliness. Supposed to diagnose the prob within 2 hrs. Took over 24…after I called several times. Then took 3 days to fix a 1 hr job….after I called to bug th Supposed to diagnose the prob within 2 hrs. Took over 24…after I called several times. Then took 3 days to fix a 1 hr job….after I called to bug them daily. Golf Mill Chevy is the worst run service center I’ve ever encountered. Last time I came in for an oil change it took 90mins and the service guy tried to rip me off w a $400 service item I didn’t need. No different than what I’d expect from a Midas. More
