Very good experience! Their salesperson Bryan was very engaging and answered all our questions. They had a nice selection of the kind of vehicle we were looking for. engaging and answered all our questions. They had a nice selection of the kind of vehicle we were looking for. More

So, while my rating is poor, Jen, and the dealership itself did do a few things right! First of all, I few into Hudson to buy my car, and Jen was there to pick me up from the airport. That definitely above and beyond! Jen was also quick over the phone to answer questions. Unfortunately, that's just the first half of the story. In list format, here's some areas of improvement. -The $495 "dealer fee" was disclosed to me AFTER I sent my (non refundable) deposit. I truly don't think this was intentional, however, it's an unacceptable oversight. - I was told over text that the car had a service history- It did not. - The car had been repainted. (For context, the car I bought is a collectable 2006 GTO, a repaint does lower the value of the car) This was not disclosed to me either before I flew in. - under acceleration, the serpentine belt shrieks. When I noticed this on the test dive I was told "sounds normal to me" The tensioner needs to be replaced. - The upper part of the back seats had become so sun- damaged, that the leather is coming apart. - After I left, I checked the oil level only to find it 2 QUARTS low. This is the only claim I don't have proof for, but I'll leave it anyways. Despite all this, I did buy the car. In my mind I had already invested a $200 dollar flight, and a 1k deposit, making it difficult for me to walk because of the issues. But then, just two days after purchase the car got locked into "limp home mode" because of an expensive sensor. When I brought the issue up with the dealer, asking if they would order the part if I took care of the labor, I was told that I should be grateful for the deal I got, and "what more do you want from a car deal" seriously. I proceeded to list all the issues I had in the same list format I used above, and, was promptly called a liar, and told, word for word, "I send you the g**d*mn bill of sale!" And yes, she did send me a bill of sale... again, after I sent my deposit. One thing I've learned though working sales for most of my career is you can tell a lot about a company by the way the handle issues AFTER they have what they want. And in this case, Golden Oldies auto sales and Jen showed me EXACTLY how they handle such instances. If everything goes well, you may have an superb experience... But ask yourself this. When your car goes into limp home mode, or breaks down two days after purchase, do you want a dealer that will stand by you even when they're not obligated too? But simply because it's the right thing to do. Because they're out there. I've worked for them first hand. But Golden Oldies does NOT make that cut. (I DO NOT make claims I cannot prove or provide documentation for. I'm putting together a google drive document with screenshots and times that will be added to this review in the event I get called a liar... again.) More
