Prior to making this purchase, we used the internet, telephone, and on-lot visits to guide our decision making processes to determine the best car/deal for our family at this time. My wife and I searched dealer ships within 150 mile radius of Ironton, Ohio. moreover, this search encompassed several weeks and we communicated with many dealerships within that radius by internet, phone, and walk-in. **Matt Groves was instrumental in our making the purchase at Glockner Honda. Matt helped us search for the vehicle that fit our family's needs at this time. Matt was very helpful, but at the same time, he was not pushy, and seemed genuine in helping us with the search for that perfect fit . Our experience with Matt went from internet chat to phone conversations regarding just what was available in the way of vehicle type, car information, prices, interest, rates, in the new and used categories. We rate Matt in the excellent range for customer service. ***Matt Conley assited us in the finance department. He was very informative, prompt, and sequential in the processes needed to get the paper work completed to finance the vehicle. ****Over the years, we have used the service department many times at Glockner Honda/Toyota. They also have a great service department. When I have an issue with one of my Toyotas, I simply call and set up and appointment, bring my car in the AM before school. They provide a shuttle that takes me to school and picks me up after school. This is a great program for teacher who need to be at school during the daytime hours. More

We also have to mention how quickly the Finance Manager wisked us through the loan process. We were out the door driving home in record time. Having purchased vehicles for over 35 years this by far the easiest transaction to date. Their inventory is small due to their location in Portsmouth, but their name is good, and they service the sale. If they have your car in your color, there's no reason to go elsewhere. I particularly appreciated their sensitivity to my father's situation and needs; they treated him with respect, and not merely as a "sale." I live 100 miles away, but I will shop their store when it's time for my next vehicle. And I will ask for Caleb. More

New Civic !! I had been dealing with someone else on the purchase of my new Honda civic EX. It was suppose to be an enjoyable experience but it was nothing but dif I had been dealing with someone else on the purchase of my new Honda civic EX. I went to Glockner Honda and began dealing with Caleb Smith (Salesman) and Matt Conley(Finance) and it was nothing but great. They were very helpful and very honest and kept in touch with me. I was looking for a certain payment/price range. They worked with me and explained everything thoroughly, not like at the "other" dealership that lied to us every step of the way!! We tried out a Civic EX, decided that's what we wanted, the salesman there did a app over the phone, called me back and said I was approved through Honda, great so we set a date to sign the papers, the day arrived we went to the dealer,our car was sold to someone else, no one knew anything, when our salesman finally arrived things started , questions asked like who told you you were approve, they had not even done an app !!! So the Lies piled up we said NO THANKS!!!!! I am so happy we went to our hometown Glockners !!! Caleb Smith is a very nice,knowledgeable young man and you will definitely like dealing with him, and Matt Conley got us approved in minutes, he knows his stuff !!!!!!!!!!!!! Two New Honda CR-Vs I started an internet discussion with several dealers to get price quotes on two CR-Vs (one for me and one for my daughter). Most dealers supplied me I started an internet discussion with several dealers to get price quotes on two CR-Vs (one for me and one for my daughter). Most dealers supplied me the info/pricing requested via email but not all. This info/pricing helped me narrow the field down to three dealers. I began in-person discussions with those three dealers. After some negotiating back and forth, two of the dealers made almost identical offers. From those two dealers, I chose Glockners for two reasons, 1. Kevin Castle was totally straight, forthright and non-pushy with me throughout the process (I'm hard to impress after 40 years of car buying but he did it); 2. I've used other dealers service departments but Glockner's Toyota service (traded in a RAV4 which was great) has caused me less headaches and their oil changes are very quick so I weighed that into my decision. I'm betting that the Honda service department is ran the same way and I'll get the same type of quick service. More
