We got the car and deal that we wanted. We made our deal over the phone with B.J. Stewart, and that is the way it was when we arrived at the dealership. However, we did not appreciate the sales pitch we received when we signed the documents, with the F&I guy, Joe. Specifically, the manner of the attempt/offer to sell us an extended warranty. In it, we were told that the vehicle we were buying had 30+ computers in it, and that "they could go out at any time," and therefore we should purchase a warranty that would extend the coverage on those computers, and other repairs, from 3 to 8 years. We have bought about 10 Toyotas in our lifetime, and the reason we have purchased so many of them and kept them for so many years is their reliability. In short, we expect our Toyotas to last 8-10 years, w/o any major repairs, with regular maintenance. This "pitch" manner made us feel that maybe we were not getting the quality to which we had become accustomed, and that you are just "shooting yourself in the foot," regarding the Toyota brand. This may be a standard pitch for this dealership, and, if so, Joe was just doing his job. We have never bought an extended warranty on anything, and probably will never purchase one, as it just adds to the cost of any purchase, but this was a negative, and if it was my decision to make, I would not try to sell this coverage in this manner. More

Randy also went outside in snow and very low temperatures the next morning to get a double stroller I forgot out of the truck I traded in. Randy had the double stroller inside waiting for me.
