I had my first interaction with the service department today. When you purchase a car from them, they offer a free oil change at their service dept. I received a couple of calls from the dealership since I hadn't used it yet. Facts: I showed up at 1:25pm for a 1:15pm appt to wait for the car while it is serviced. Oil change and they said I had an open recall, something about a software update. After a couple of hours, I called the service dept from the waiting room and was told that the car would be ready in 30min - I reconfirmed with them that I was waiting in the waiting room. After 30min go by, I walk out and speak with the only rep that was at his desk, on his cell phone. Asked if he could help page my rep, really needed to leave to pick up my child before 5pm. Whole thing got worse from there. A guy named Nick (last name starts with a F) was pretty rude and lacked customer service experience - guy should be repurposed to a role less customer facing. Fernando DaSilva tried to help the situation as best he could, he's good from my point of view. Some guy named JB helped by calling my rep's cell phone and the car rolled up a minute or so later. JB uttered the words "patience", wasn't the best thing to tell someone who was patiently waiting from 1:30pm to 4:30pm for a scheduled appointment for an oil change and software update recall. Would you go back there again? More
Too much time to do sloppy work. Disgusted and disappointed. I had a scheduled (free) oil change for my new Hyundai Elantra and it took a little over 3 hours. Even with the multi-point inspection it shouldn't ta I had a scheduled (free) oil change for my new Hyundai Elantra and it took a little over 3 hours. Even with the multi-point inspection it shouldn't take this long AND it hasn't at other Hyundai service centers. Also, on their electronic check-in board my check-in time kept getting later. I guess that was so that they could meet their metrics. But my check-in time was adjusted by 40 minutes while I was waiting. I don't even believe they did a multi-point inspection because my tire pressure was off by 4 pounds on 2 tires. What really pissed me off was that they spilled oil on my engine and engine cover....and I don't mean a few drops either. The car was 4 months old and I just got the feeling no one really cared about the work, or lack thereof, that they were doing. I also noticed a new rattling sound coming from under the right side of my car as I was driving it home. So ticked off! I am going to another Hyundai service center from now on. I will never go back to this place for service again. More

When I called the dealership, the salesman was so rude and told me to call service or road assistance which I did with no one to answer! I left a message to everyone working there but they never got back to me! 2)) I was out of town so couldn't go to the dealership tell today 12/26, they did check the car and told me there a sensor (on a back order) should be replaced but they don't know when it's gonna be available! 3)) it's 3:00pm and I'm still waiting in the dealership since 10:00am! 4)) I was discussing the extra money they charged me (ripped me off) in price, MVC fees, GAP insurance, vehicle theft protection warranty with Tom Willy who got to the point he couldn't answer, he rudely kicked me out of his office! 5)) The CERTIFIED car they give me has too many problems and no one has ever checked it! They just advertise it as certified to ripe you off! 6)) Struts are terrible! 7)) brake pads and rotors are bad! 8)) with all the money I ripped off, they refused to give me a complimentary full tank! 9)) please stay far away from salesman Michael Wytte, and the whole dealership! 10)) Finally, I will take them to the court and I already talked to a lawyer. Whereas other establishments lured me in only to get disappointed by their shabby sales tactics, the purchase at Global Auto Mall was a no-nonsense and hassle-free purchase. JP was our sales person and this last time we told him what we wanted in the truck and color.he got the color right but when I asked him about the back up camera and digital display he said you can have it installed. WHY well the bottom line was all he was interested in was making the lease and I got stuck w a 4 year lease with a car I hate .he took advantage of me . now service was always great but today I had an app for a oil change and tire rotation . Igot there at 745 for a 815 app. well to my surprise I did not get out till945. aand on top of that they charged me 70 dollars. the service dept said sorry and tried to give me a free car wash which I turned down because I am very pickey about my car. the inside dash had black tar on it. I was going to buy my last car from you whenthis nightmare lease was over but not now and I will not recommend you ever. I should be getting gold star service More

We were driving happily for 2 years +, when I got a flat tire on the NJ Turnpike, and found out th I purchased a car on 11/22/2014, a 2015 Kia Optima. We were driving happily for 2 years +, when I got a flat tire on the NJ Turnpike, and found out that the car did not come with a spare tire, or the fixit kit for the tire (not that that would have worked anyway). Went down to Global a week after the incident, really upset, and I left smiling. It was a no-hassle, problem-free experience. They listened, they reviewed, and I left highly satisfied. Thank you Dave and Jim, the 2 most awesome guys in the service area! More
