I shouldn't have to be writing this on Christmas Eve, but the incompetence and questionable practices of this dealership compel me to share my experience. I’m knowledgeable about cars, own an advanced OBD2 s the incompetence and questionable practices of this dealership compel me to share my experience. I’m knowledgeable about cars, own an advanced OBD2 scanner, and am an electrical engineer. On 12/09/24, I came in with a crank-no-start issue, believing it was electrical rather than what the code suggested. I showed the service agent the full scan history, which revealed engine, ABS, and transmission fault codes—information not available through a standard OBD2 scan. Despite this, the technician did minimal work and diagnosed the problem as the P0340 code. I trusted the repair and, thinking my car was being fixed, added two additional services (oil flush and injector cleaning) for $1,073.83. I received my car back on 12/10/24, that evening after taking my step-son to a local gym, while we sat in the parking lot and prepared to go home my car failed to start reliably in the cold evening. I returned the next morning, frustrated but understanding. The dealership provided a loaner car on 12/11/24, but the car was not worked on until 12/20/24, when they found two brake lights were out—something I had already observed on 12/11. They claimed the car was fine after replacing the lights and taking a test drive. I picked up the car on 12/23/2024, and the following morning CHRISTMAS EVE morning, as snow came down after I had taken my dogs for a walk at a local park my car failed to start reliably. I find it concerning that after being charged $1,073.83, followed by an additional $38, no real work was done on the car. It’s clear that the technician didn’t take my diagnostic information into account and likely didn’t perform necessary tests, as the car failed to start multiple times within 24 hours of pickup. I’m hoping to hear from a dealership manager for a full refund, as this experience has been both frustrating and ethically questionable as being charged in excess of $1,000 to have the information we provided to be completely disregarded is unbelievably disrespectful . My partner was planning to purchase multiple Subarus in the near future, as she has two teenage boys, but after this experience, we’ll be exploring other options. If the dealership wasn’t willing to address an electrical issue or work on a car over 10 years old, they should have communicated that upfront and provided a referral to a reputable mechanic. I expect to be made whole and will pursue this further. More
I am writing as a prior customer of Glanzmann Subaru to caution potential customers about the service at this dealership. My boyfriend recently brought his car in for a crank-no-start issue, only for the d caution potential customers about the service at this dealership. My boyfriend recently brought his car in for a crank-no-start issue, only for the dealership to disregard all the information we provided, give us lip service, and upcharged us $1,073.83 for repairs that didn’t fix the problem. The car failed to start again on a cold December evening, with my son in the car. We returned the next morning, and the dealership was polite, offering a loaner car. However, they kept the vehicle for 12 days and only replaced some brake lights (which were already out when we first noticed) without providing any real solutions. Despite being charged $38 for the brake light repair, we hoped they had properly fixed the issue, but when we picked up the car on 12/23/24, the same starting problem occurred again less than 24 hours later on Christmas Eve morning. If the dealership was unable to diagnose or fix the issue, they should have communicated that upfront so we could have sought help elsewhere. The lack of transparency and poor service is ethically questionable, and I will be following up with Subaru corporate. Hoping they make us whole and provide a full refund for incompetent work. Proceed with caution if you’re considering service at Glanzmann Subaru. More

I received a cal forester inspected. When I asked if I cound wait for it, they indicated it would take 2 hrs. did I want a loner car, which i took. I received a call at 1;37 that the car was just being serviced, they recommended a filter. Lisa indicated that she would call me shortly to let me know my car was finished. I dediced to drive the loner back to the shop, around 2:15 only to find out that they hadn't started on my car, that it would take at least another hour to do the alingment. It was recommended to me that I take the loner car home and come back tomorrow, I have other things schedule for tomorrow. I couldnt wait another hour deciding not to have the alingment done. Lisa told me then that they would be putting the inspection sticker on the car to wait in the waiting room it would be right out. After another hour I went to the service desk, the car was still not done, again she said they were putting the sticker on the car. Finally after almost 6 hours my car was instected and ready. The manager told me that when you get a loner your pushed back so those that are waiting get serviced first, this was not explained to me when I dropped the car off. After buying 5 Cars from Glanzmann I am not sure that I will go back to them. More

With John, going the extra mile seems to be his starting point--he went far beyond that when I recently faced a difficult repair. He took the time to really understand the problem, bring in other team members and even speak to Subaru of America on my behalf to make sure the issue was resolved in the best way possible. Kate Bateman in Service, and Rob, the service technician, are 2 other employees who helped make this great outcome. Less important, but noteworthy, the physical plant is clean modern, and comfortable, so if you' re waiting for your service to be complete, it's a nice place to hang out. Highly, highly recommend!!!
