Unwilling to deal I have never encountered a dealer so unwilling to sell me a car. I went in with a check in hand, had an excellent test drive, but when it came time to discuss price, they were unwilling to move on anything. The salesman was fine, the sales manager, however had the customer service skills of a disgruntled fast food worker. They wouldn't give me a total price despite repeatedly trying to get me to sign my name to a virtually blank agreement. The tires were mismatched and it had a blown fog light. They refused to even fix the fog light, virtually the cheapest thing I could ask for. I finally walked out when it became clear they had no interest in selling me a vehicle. They want to sweep you off your feet and get you committed early, and if you show even the least amount of critical thinking they lose interest. Do not recommend unless you're searching for an exercise in futility. More
Had a bad experience with these guys. I called on the phone for a particular model and booked a test drive a few days in advance. On the day that I drove there from Boston (1.5 hours), I called to check and a salesman, Peter, told me that the car would be available. However, when I arrived, I was told by the salesman that the car wasn't there yet and I could wait at the lounge (actually, a rather comfortable area with coffee and TV). I waited for an hour and then I went out for lunch. Then I came back. By this time, I had been in town for 3 hours. That's when they told me that the owner had taken the vehicle on an emergency trip out of town! The worst part of this is that they had my phone number and could have called me at any time so I wouldn't have to wait anymore! Folks, I would not recommend buying from them. Maybe they never actually had the car there or didn't intend to sell it. Maybe they just wanted to get me in the store so I could buy something else. I don't know what the real story behind giving me the runaround, but they cost me a half of a day and a tank of gas for nothing. Just plain unprofessional and irresponsible. More
I switched to Girard Ford even though I bought my car from another dealer with which I had numerous issues regarding service, lack of friendliness and charges. That dealer was too impersonal and not concerned with my particular issues and problems they caused. The phone at Girard was answered directly by service-and not by an automated phone system. It turned out to be Jose Arriaga who, on the phone, told me which service appointments were the most important ones for my car. He quickly made an appointment and I had the service done more quickly than I had been used to and the staff from Jorge to the cashier were especially warm and friendly. I had had an issue with an unusual warning light coming on. They found nothing in the computer but told me to just bring it in whenever the light came on again even without an appointment unlike the previous dealer. The light came on again during a 4 hour trip and I later brought the car in at my convenience and a mechanic IMMEDIATELY checked the computer for codes but found none. Making an extra effort to troubleshoot he tried an additional computer and found the problem which was the subject of a Ford Technical Service bulletin, not a safety issue but covered by Ford. I made an appointment to bring the car in soon after and the car was fixed quickly with a software upgrade which no one had seen before. At my previous dealer, I would have had to leave the car all day. I met one of the owners in the customer waiting area who was also very friendly and helpful. Although I have to travel further to get to Girard, total time spent is less and I leave with a smile on my face. More
My wife and I went to Girard to look at a new Ford Mustang. We had been looking at used BMW vehicles and got tired of seeing cars wiith paint damage or cars that had been smoked in. My wife had a Mustang GT back in 1998 and she loved it. We were greeted by salesman Jimmy who was very courteous and he set us up with a test ride in a 2014 Mustang. My wife and I absolutely loved the car. After the test ride I decided to try to make a deal. I hadn't planned on buying that day, but the car and the dealership seemed like the real deal. We were planning on going to check out another used BMW the next day. I met the business managers and they were all very polite and understood our needs. About 1 1/2 hours after we had arrived at Girard Ford I was shaking hands with the General Manager as we had struck a deal that made my wife and I very happy. In another 1 1/2 hours or so Jimmy demonstrated the interior amenities of the car in great detail! We drove home in a new Ford Mustang and my wife was smiling from ear to ear!!! I have been involved in many vehicle purchases over the years and I will say that this experience at Girard Ford tops the list! More

I went there to visit my friend Jimmie and he ended up selling me a 2006 Ford Mustang GT. I had no intention of buying a car, but after the test drive, I new I had to have her. Jimmie answered all my questions, and got me a great offer on my trade in. Keith Nye worked tirelessly on getting me approved. It took about two days, but he was patient and genuinely shared in my excitement when the deal was finally made. I was also able to meet the owner, Charlie, who was incredibly pleasant. I went to Girard Ford to have my 2008 Focus serviced before taking a trip to Ohio. After the service, on the way home, the car stalled. I called the Service department and asked for their help. A tow truck was immediately sent out to fetch me and take me back to the dealership. Jose Arriaga, the Service consultant, acquired a rental car for me to use until my Focus was fully repaired. I am completely satisfied with the professional and genreous service afforded to me in this unfortunate circumstance. We all make mistakes, but Girard Ford Dealership dealt with their mistake and met more than my expectations. It was a real pleasure buying my new Focus from Girard Ford. Chris Johnson was the primary salesman that I met with. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. The dealership didn't have the exact Focus I wanted, but they arranged a dealer swap with another local dealership. Chris was extremely communicative through the whole process, keeping me informed of what was going on via phone and email. Once the car car arrived at the dealer, he walked me through all the bells and whistles of the vehicle and explained how all of the displays and controls worked. Once the purchase was final, he even helped me sync my phone. Since my purchase, he has attempted to contact me to ensure everything is good with the vehicle, but unfortunately, I have been spend extra time at work dealing with an important project and haven't had a chance to speak with him. I would also like to thank Peter, the internet sales rep, and Kieth, the finance guy. Both were very friendly and helpful. I really couldn't be happier with my experience!! I just hope when the time comes for service or warranty work(fingers crossed), that the service department is just as friendly and cooperative as the sales staff. Thanks again you guys!!!!! More
