I had a very good experience buying a new Passport from Alex Vo this week. Over the phone, he verified that the vehicle I wanted was on the lot, he sent me 2 pics to confirm that, and importantly, I had a Alex Vo this week. When I arrived at the dealership, Alex met me, I confirmed with him the OTD price (no nonsense or surprises), we did a test drive of the new vehicle, we then negotiated a fair trade-in price for my Toyota and I was all set. Alex was both professional and personable throughout this entire interaction and I'm happy to recommend him to others. More
We called about a used Honda to verify if the car was in stock and would be Certified, since it was a 2024 with 20,000 miles. We spoke with the salesman who said it would be. We traveled to the dealership and looked at the car, which was fresh on the lot, so fresh in fact that the seat covers from the prior owner were still on it and it had not been cleaned. We were still interested in the car so we went inside to do the deal. The sticker price was 19,985. When we got inside, they brought us a paper that had and additional $2,700 of accessory charges. The first sales manager said it was for dealer installs like tint, wheel locks, etc. I said that was impossible as the car hasn’t event been cleaned yet, so I know the dealership hasn’t installed extras. He stammered and left the room to look into it. A different sales manager comes in and says they will lower it to $1,700 and that it was the cost to obtain the Certified Pre-Owned status from Honda. He said it would cost his dealership $1,600 to obtain that certification from Honda (which is a lie). I explained this was a clear bait and switch and that we were not paying any accessory charges but that we would pay the sticker price for the car. The dealer declined to honor the sticker price and we left the dealership. Total scam and waste of time. More
