“Honestly” I had issues with the lift gate on our Chevrolet Tahoe, so I had visited a local mechanic and was informed that the motor was damaged and rep I had issues with the lift gate on our Chevrolet Tahoe, so I had visited a local mechanic and was informed that the motor was damaged and replacing, at some cost. I inquired about the issue at another mechanic location and was informed of the same result. At a later date I booked the vehicle into Ghent; for an oil change and had made mention of the faulty lift gate; I was expecting a very expensive replacement cost for whatever was damaged. No. A blown fuse! With as I recall was at no cost. Honesty and integrity are much valued by me. The truth is so important and easy to understand. More

Scheduling was easy, Scott was very polite and professional. Service took the amount of time we were quoted. Unfortunately, on our drive home a warning displayed that the oil in the engine was low professional. Service took the amount of time we were quoted. Unfortunately, on our drive home a warning displayed that the oil in the engine was low and we needed to add oil. We had just had the oil changed at Ghent. We attempted to contact the dealership so we could figure out what kind of oil we needed to add to the engine and we did not get a response. We were finally able to talk to someone in service after 5 days, they told us they didn’t know what kind of oil they used, just look on our oil cap and use that oil. There was no worry on the dealerships end as to why there wasn’t enough oil in the vehicle. We ended up purchasing and adding 5 quarts of oil to the engine. It takes 10 quarts when the oil is changed, so we left the dealership with half of the oil needed in the engine. We called back to let the service dept know that we had to add 5 quarts, again there was no concern from them, no apology, no offer to discount a future oil change, just “Thanks for letting us know.” I understand good help is hard to find, most businesses are struggling to find and keep employees, but there could have been so much more done on the dealerships end to right to poor service. We did not get mad, we did not yell or throw a fit, so maybe the dealership didn’t take us seriously. We felt we could have been valued more than we were. The have lost our business. More
