I live in Indpls & on a Monday spoke to Joseph Codrington about the Lexus NX 300. I knew exactly what car I wanted to purchase, I explained that it was for my daughter that was in college who was coming home on Saturday for Christmas break. I shared that we were very familiar and happy with our Lexus that we owned. I was given some information regarding the car over email. I was told that the car had been sitting on their lot for 11 days prior so the questions that I had they should have known in my opinion. I told Joseph that I needed to act fast as I was looking for a specific car and they had exactly what I was looking for. Joseph was on vacation or out for the next 3 days so I was transferred to multiple people many that would not take me serious as I was purchasing and inquiring over the phone and via email and over state border in Indiana. The salesman did not take me serious I can only assume it was because I am a female. I got my husband involved because the process was becoming difficult and labor entensive. I inquired on a Monday and finalized numbers by Friday. It has never ever taken me 4 days to purchase a car that I knew I wanted. I was told after many times telling them that I was going to drive up and purchase the car that they had "someone interested in the show room at the moment". Keep in mind they had 3 NX 300 Lexus that were all the same year. They jerked me around throughout the entire process. We put a deposit on the car and we were told that again they had someone that wanted to buy it. My husband and I both told them that if they were going to sell the car to someone else after we put a deposit and had been dealing with all of their bull crap for 4 days that it was a horrible reflection on them as a dealership. They truly did NOT CARE. I was told that the car would not be ready on Friday and so therefore we had to drive up on Saturday. Keep in mind we had already negotiated a very small amount off with Derek a sales manager on Thursday night it was settled. On Friday when the General manger returned from his day off he flat out told me "I'm not here to ruffle your feathers but the price you were told I can not sell you the car for that price. I did not approve of it". Keep in mind it was $800-900 off sticker price and what was on the purchase invoice that we had settled on the night before." The car had some protective coating that they had put on it that they were going to lose the money on. Again, frustrating. We provided every document that was asked prior to driving up on Saturday when we arrived again nothing was ready. We had a check made out by our bank for exactly the price that was given to us. The car price of the invoice changed by $20 dollar how overnight it did. No one could explain anything to us. They need some bank pin that was never told to me. We were very specific that we wanted to be in and out within a reasonable time frame as we had prior commitments on that Saturday and they wouldn't accommodate us coming in the day before on Friday to purchase the car. My bank was closed on Saturday and the process of buying the Lexus Nx300 was a cluster xxxx show. My husband and I are Lexus loyal customers and were completely appalled by the entire process of jerking us around, price change, sales tactics of bait and switch, having a manager call us and tell us that we could not buy the car or that they had someone in the showroom that wanted the car, not returning calls and over all SUPER BAD CUSTOMER SERIVICE THEY SHOULD BE EMBARASSED. We received a call on Tuesday after we got a call asking for our Social Security numbers again. How do you misplace that information is beyond me. I was told at one point by one of the sales manager that they were doing me a favor in letting me purchase a car from them because they had the car that I was looking for. More
