Just started my hunt for a used Camry and now days every dealer wants to sell you a car. Before narrowing my search down from 10 dealers to 1 dealer, I contacted each dealer and compared prices. I called tw dealer wants to sell you a car. Before narrowing my search down from 10 dealers to 1 dealer, I contacted each dealer and compared prices. I called two days before making the trip to Planet Toyota for a 09 Camry, which I confirmed with Jessica in the Internet that it was still available. She promised me if anything were to happen to the Camry she would let me know. 8pm the night before I was making the trip I got a call from Jessica, and as she said she would she updated the vehicle had been sold. I still made the trip to Planet Toyota the next morning for a used Camry, most dealers wouldn't bother to let you know a vehicle has been sold, but they would rather do the bait and switch. Out of my many years of buying cars Planet Toyota was the first dealer I have ever dealt with that was up front and honest from the very start. More
I live out of state and was trying to negotiate for a car for my sister. We had found a car at a dealership in my state and she was prepared to fly out to buy it and drive back. That dealership had given u for my sister. We had found a car at a dealership in my state and she was prepared to fly out to buy it and drive back. That dealership had given us a very good price, and we had dealt with them before and were very satisfied. We decided to call Planet Toyota to see if they could meet the price and save my sister the trip out east. We worked with Jessica, sent her the offer we had received by email and she emailed back that they could beat the offer by $200 or more. Before my sister made her appointment, we called Jessica to ask for her final price. She began asking us if the price we had been given here and sent to her included the delivery charge. We read her the details but she insisted that we call the dealership here to find out. Finally, she turned the phone over to Ken, her boss, who said "that's a really good price," and offered us the same car for $1200 more. He said different regions have different price structures and that's why it was so low and the offer to "beat any price" was only in reference to other local businesses. He had no explanation why Jessica did not know this. He then told me that he would match the offer CarMax had given my sister for her old car. He repeated this twice. When my sister got there Jessica was "unavailable" even though they had made an appointment with her. Then the salesman offered them $500 less for their trade in. When my brother in law said he wanted to talk to Ken, the salesman offered another $250. They were very close to walking but after calculating the cost of a trip out here plus the tax advantage of a trade in Illinois, they decided to go ahead. We felt this dealership was sleazy and dishonest. Jessica misled us about the price they could offer and Ken misled us about the trade in. I have told my sister to take her car elsewhere for any service, because clearly this outfit cannot be trusted. We will contact the Toyota Corporation about our experience. More
Drove 60+ miles one way and finally reached there they had only one car and it was a demo car with 6K miles on it. Called several times before i start, Jessica said we got a lot full of "new" car that you had only one car and it was a demo car with 6K miles on it. Called several times before i start, Jessica said we got a lot full of "new" car that you are looking for but when i reached there was none and she din't show up as well. The sales people were friendly and try to convince me but i was really frustrated and just walked out of the dealership. All my Friday eve was spoiled by one lady also the gas for 120 miles. More

I recommend that you stay far away from the service department at Planet Toyota in Matteson, IL. They're pretty scummy. I took my 2010 Toyota Prius here at 20,000 miles to get my oil changed and instead of $60 synthetic oil, they put $20 conventional oil in my car. According to the service department at another Toyota dealership, this can cause motor damage to my Prius. The customer service is anything but... they would not resolve my issue because I've since moved to another state. I have filed a complaint with Toyota's corporate office and the BBB. Not only did Planet Toyota fill my car with the wrong oil, they tried to convince me to wait until my next oil change and insisted it would be fine. Bottom line: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT. They obviously don't have your best interest, nor the best interest of your vehicle, in mind. And, after reading several negative reviews online about that dealership in general, DO NOT BUY YOUR VEHICLE FROM PLANET TOYOTA. Their staff is comprised of xxxx. Go to another dealership if you want peace of mind. More
Took my car for oil change. They Wanted me to get some additional work. I was unable to have work done due to other plans. Seems as though the manager didn't like my answer. So I received my car back soak additional work. I was unable to have work done due to other plans. Seems as though the manager didn't like my answer. So I received my car back soak and wet from the car wash. Yes, without the porter drying it off. Also, dirt on the inside of my car and my bluetooth connection set up. If I was a man, I don't think I would have been treated this way. When I called to voice my concerns. The Manager over service - Jim says "Anthony usually nice", "something must have happen" Yeah poor customer service!!! If your looking for good custmer service, this is not the place to go. I also know two other people who have had poor customer service at this location. Cheap is not always good! More
I have visited approximately 30 dealerships over the past 30 days with varying degrees of professionalism and expertise. Planet Toyota ranks near the top. Most of the dealerships I had gone to made me feel 30 days with varying degrees of professionalism and expertise. Planet Toyota ranks near the top. Most of the dealerships I had gone to made me feel a little dirty. I just felt like I was trying to be "taken." Not so at Planet Toyota. Matt was great in sales. He wasn't pushy, did not play games, and conducted himself professionally. We agreed on a fair price for the used vehicle I wanted. He also went above and beyond to work out a deal for some new floor mats. I paid in cash so I did not need to go through the financing process, but my interaction with John Pullen (business manager) was phenomenal. Small example: My cell phone was losing a charge after a couple of hours. John offered me his wall charger and I charged my phone during the paperwork. Not a huge deal, but it's the small things that matter. I drove 55 miles to Planet Toyota to buy a used vehicle. It was definitely worth it. I would recommend to all. More
Matt Triak is by far the best salesman I have ever encountered. From the time I got out of my vehicle, he was right there to greet me and answer all the questions I had. We purchased the Toyota Caro encountered. From the time I got out of my vehicle, he was right there to greet me and answer all the questions I had. We purchased the Toyota Carolla S, which I might add is an amazing vehicle! Great on gas, handles well in the snow, comfortable, and is a sharp looking car! Matt was there to hagle with the whole time and I was very happy with the results of the purchase. I gave Planet Toyota the highest rating because of the friendliness of Matt and his expertise in supplying great customer service!
