They came back with a list of things that i was not interested in & & the problem they insisted was the reason my car kept cutting off had just been fixed the day before & didnt solve the problem so i knew that was a wrong. Long story short after i told them that diagnosis was wrong the manager (tom) said to let them fix it for 425$ & if it doesn't help we'll go from there. Never guaranteeing me anything. #Waist & poor customer service. More

They listened to what I was looking for and fit me with just the right car. When it came to financing, they bent over backwards to get the pricing that suited my budget. I didn't think I would even go back to Nissian after my experience at Gerald Nissan Naperville, so I can't thank him enough. His helpful emails and phone calls were invaluable in this endeavor. I love the car and the sales person he handed me off too, Dan Racine was wonderful. Thanks again for your dedication and help! More

My friend is a very large man and we were testing various makes and models to see which ones he fit in. The first time we went, we met with Erik Johnson and he was very helpful and exactly what my friend needed. We moved on to other dealerships. We couldn't remember his name when we went back, but the others at the dealership were only too happy to help us find him. Even though my friend was clearly anxious, Erik treated him with a kindness and compassion I honestly wouldn't have expected. He did his job with no pressure and made the entire process relaxed and easy. I would recommend Gerald and Eric to anyone looking for a new car. More
Buy the car and then your on your own/ a good out come. I purchased a new 2014 Altima SV in March of 2014. In the beginning of March 2015 I was washing my car removing some winter grime. As I was drying t I purchased a new 2014 Altima SV in March of 2014. In the beginning of March 2015 I was washing my car removing some winter grime. As I was drying the trunk I saw a couple of small rust spots, one inside the Nissan badge and another on the left side of the license plate. This was very disturbing to me that a one year old car would have this. My 14 year old Toyota with 270K miles had no rust on it. I also found under the plastic chrome strip above the license plate rust coming down onto the paint. Now I’m really upset. So I bring the car in to Matt in service to look at a problem . When I picked the car up Matt said that screws that held the chrome strip mount to the trunk were rusty and they were replaced. As for the rust spots on the trunk he said it was caused by stones hitting the trunk. I asked, when I drive forward, how are stones thrown forward to the back of my car, hit the trunk and leave two little pin holes that start to rust? When I got home from picking up my car I got a magnifying glass to look at the rust spots on the trunk. I first looked at the spot inside the Nissan badge that had rust. I found a pimple. The top looked to be exposed metal with paint coming up the sides. I then looked at the place where Matt said there was a hole. There was a hole but I also saw on one side of the hole, that the rim of the hole, the paint flared up as if there was a piece of balled metal there. I found other places of pimples also. I believe that the rust spots are not caused by stones hitting the trunk. I believe that at the time of painting, the trunk lip had some metal contamination on it, and I know paint does not like to hang onto a sharp edges or a point. I believe at these pimples, pin points of metal were exposed and after a year they started to rust. I brought the car back for Matt to look at the spots with the magnifying glass. He brought the service manager Chris to take a look. He look it over and said it was stone chips that cause the problem. I asked him to look using the magnifying glass. He refused! I couldn't believe it, how rude, how disrespectful. He just walked away. I then drove around to the front of the dealership to find Dan Racine, the salesman who sold me the car. He looked at the pimples with the magnifying glass and agreed that it wasn't stone chips, but contamination under the paint. It didn't help. I even contacted Nissan customer affairs and they got back to me and said warranty will not cover the work to repaint because it's stone chips. No one in service used the magnifying glass and they say stone chips and the one person who did use the magnifying glass said it's not stone chips. This is my first and last Nissan and never will I purchase a car from Gerald Nissan again!!! Update 4-14-15: Chris the service manager phoned me today and said that Gerald will have their body shop fix the issue with the rust and pimples bumps on the trunk. I was very happy to hear that. A date for the repair will be set soon. I will up date this review when the work is done. Update 4-27-15: I picked my car this afternoon from Gerald Nissan. All evidence of any of the pimples and rust are gone and even one place that I thought the body shop might miss, they didn't. I'm very pleased with the paint job. A few days before I dropped off the car at Gerald I drove to Royal Coach auto body shop in St. Charles IL. In the past they have done work on one of my other cars. I asked the manager if he would come out and take a look at the trunk. He looked the trunk over and walked around the car and came back to the trunk and said "it is definitely not stone chips, it's contamination under the paint. He said it could have been repainted at the factory. He said that during assembly a flaw or some other problem could have been found in the paint or the trunk lid and was repainted right then and at that time the surface could have become contaminated. He told me I had a legitimate issue with Nissan. Upon hearing that (which confirmed what I saw and the salesman saw) I felt bad for Gerald Nissan. Gerald stepped up and fixed the problem which Nissan should have covered under warranty. Gerald paid to fix a problem that in my eyes wasn't theirs to fix. I am very grateful for what they did, they didn't have to do that. Thank you Jeff Gerald and anyone else for correcting my problem, you went above and beyond! More
