After being repeatedly disappointed with the service department at the Honda dealer closest to my home (Ed Napleton in Oak Lawn), we decided to give Continental a try. We were treated with respect and department at the Honda dealer closest to my home (Ed Napleton in Oak Lawn), we decided to give Continental a try. We were treated with respect and given straight answers, and service was performed at a fair price. They even told us that some service we had thought was needed was unnecessary, to their own (short term) financial detriment. We will continue to drive past Ed Napleton to get our Hondas serviced at Continental, and when it comes time to buy we will give them first shot at our business. More
I have visited this dealership 3 times, and i have never had a good experience with them. First of all, I went in for a Honda civic. I talked to Bill. He said he would copy my drivers license so I could had a good experience with them. First of all, I went in for a Honda civic. I talked to Bill. He said he would copy my drivers license so I could test drive the car. more than 5 minutes passed, I looked around and he was helping another customer that just walked in. He never even told me "sorry, i have to deal with someone else. can you wait a minute?" That right there is disrespectful to a customer. Secondly, the dealership lies to get your business. They say that "no honda fits are available for test drives ANYWHERE in chicagoland. you have to put down a deposit, and when it comes in you can test drive it. your deposit is refundable if you choose not to buy it." That day i went to another dealership and they had 2 honda fits available for test drive. When i went back and asked for my deposit, he said it wasnt refundable. Wow. I am going into the dealersihp this week to get my $200 back. Not recommended at all. They are very pushy salespeople who will do anything to make your car-buying experience as tough as possible. Look them up on BBB.com - they have an "unsatisfactory record" with the bureau. I ended up buying an accord from Valley Honda, which is part of the BBB and has a very good record. Hondas are good, but this dealership doesnt make it seem that way. More
The salespeople made us feel rushed, then when we explained that a payment had been made on our old car load that hadn't yet been posted, they offered to hold a personal check for the difference unti explained that a payment had been made on our old car load that hadn't yet been posted, they offered to hold a personal check for the difference until the funds were returned to our bank. Well, they lied about that and tried to deposit the check 2 days later without informing us. I normally go into a car buying experience knowing I'm going to get ripped off, but these guys really worked us over with their upfront "We can work with you" to their after the sale, "That's not what we said, screw you" attitude and actions. I could not emphasize the tactic that this dealer used to sell a car. very forceful way of selling and liked to have people around you to pressure you. I bought a pre-owned and didnt realized the fog light sell a car. very forceful way of selling and liked to have people around you to pressure you. I bought a pre-owned and didnt realized the fog light was broke. sales promised he will ask the service and parts manager to order the parts and fix it for me and will call us in about two to three weeks. more than three weeks had past and we didnt hear a word from him. we called in and he didn't order the parts for us and saying it's not his responsibility to fix it! there are so many little problems i found after two days i bought the car, and he just sounded like it's my problem or i was in such a bad luck, and this is not talking about a old car. I dont recommmend you to go to this dealer unless you like their way of doing bussiness More

I never receive any estimatio June 19, 2006 with this Anita Garrison and she said, she set up an appointment for me on June 23, 2006 at 7:00 A.M. I never receive any estimation or confirmation email. Since I need to know how much it's gonna cost and how long I should wait, on Thursday, June 22, 2006 I go online and talked to another person on live chat (Megan Andrews) who told me that I had NO appointment for friday june 23, 2006. And I could get my car serviced on Monday, like I have no other thing to do just to fit their schedule. I take a day off on Friday because Anita Garrison told me she had set up an appointment for me. If she has no ability to set up any appointment for Continental HOnda customer, then she better not doing it or sitting in front of computer, pretending like she could. One day off definitely means nothing to her, but it means a lot to me. Please, Give respect to your customer's time or never represent youself as a company's customer service. Can you imagine if on Friday morning, I drive for an hour to Continental HOnda, get turn down and have to spend another hour going back home because of her? What a waste. More
After reading some of the previous reviews I was skeptical when I visited Continental Honda. I had received quotes from them via the internet that were hundreds less than competing dealerships were skeptical when I visited Continental Honda. I had received quotes from them via the internet that were hundreds less than competing dealerships were willing to offer. I was waiting for "the other shoe to drop", so to speak, when I got there. To my pleasure my fears never materalized. I bought the car he quoted at the price I was quoted with absolutely no hassles, no problems or quibling. No upsale, no problems from the manager, no problems whatsoever. I saved hundreds over larger dealerships and was out of there in about an hour with a brand new Accord. Overall it was a very positive experience. More
If you like the strong-arm sales approach and spiteful salespeople this is definitely the dealership for you. This is a dealership only concerned with making a sale at the expense of customer loyalty and salespeople this is definitely the dealership for you. This is a dealership only concerned with making a sale at the expense of customer loyalty and repeat patronage. After driving 40 minutes to look at a certified 02 accord I put a deposit on it so I might take it to have a body shop and mechanic look at it. After a great deal if difficulty I was finally allowed to take the car with Bob, the general manager's pledge that nothing on the lot has had any paintwork whatsoever. (As is ALWAYS the case) NOT ONLY HAD THE CAR BEEN PAINTED, on the left rear quarter panel, the mechanic recommended that I install 2 new front tires and a battery. After wading through the CONSIDERABLE bulls*&t about how a certified car does not have these problems, they agreed to knock $200 off the price, which would not even cover the cost of these parts let alone the labor. (The vehicle in question is an 02 honda accord coupe, silver with a spoiler and sunroof. I do not have the VIN handy otherwise I would include it... BUYER BEWARE) After an array of closing tactics, including public chastisement in the showroom, they decided it would behoove them to loose the sale over what amounted to about $350. A few days later I called to have my credit card deposit refunded, which, out of spite, they refused to do over the phone... falling back on the good old "its our policy" requiring that I drive an hour and 20 minutes round trip, wasting gas, for no good reason. I have looked at about 10 cars in the last three months, 2 of which I have put deposits on. Things did not add up and it was no problem at all for these dealerships to refund my deposit over the phone. Heck, one even refunded the deposit without my asking. Given their experience dealers should understand that a deposit doesnt really mean squat, and just because a customer puts one down, it is not by any means a promise to buy. Most dealerships are extremely professional and understand this and do not use the deposit as leverage for guilt to press a sale as they do at Continental Honda. Though I am not turned off Honda as a brand, I am completely jaded on the car buying experience and given the deplorable and inexcusable lack of customer service I will never...EVER buy a vehicle from Continental Honda, or from any dealership in the Continental auto group, and I suggest you do the same. This dealership made me a great offer over the phone. The sales person called me back after "speaking with his manager". I asked about financing and they told me with good credit, which I have, they have ne sales person called me back after "speaking with his manager". I asked about financing and they told me with good credit, which I have, they have never lost a deal. I go to the dealership fill out the paperwork. The finance guy comes in and says I am getting a really good deal so the rate will be 4.99%. Tells me he won't "run my credit" because they will lose money on the deal. Bottom line they tell me they will not sell me the car at the price they quoted me even if I agreed to the 4.99% financing. They would lose too much money. I walked out and will never shop nor recommend the dealership. Buyer beware. More
