Although my last 3 new cars have been Nissan's, this is my first purchase from George Harte and it won't be my last! I had contacted a more local Nissan dealer and was not received very well. It was as if they didn't care at all. From the 1st contact on internet to my driving away in a new Nissan Frontier I was treate received very well. It was as if they didn't care at all. My experience was horrible. I had received a $500 coupon in the mail from them stating that it was good towards the 1st months car payment. Once we began negotiating the price, the salesman quickly took th in the mail from them stating that it was good towards the 1st months car payment. Once we began negotiating the price, the salesman quickly took the coupon and took it into his office. When I asked later about the coupon, I was told that it was no good. My husband is a strong negotiator and after going back and forth for over two days, we agreed on a price. When I went to pick up the vehicle, they only gave me one key. They told me that they only had one key. I saw one of the mechanics actually come out and move the vehicle from the back after my salesman had given me my key. I was naive and thought that maybe they had a master key. They had me sign a document stating that we were taking the car in good condition and that we would not ask for anything else. When I got the car home, my husband noticed that they had replaced the tires that were originally on the car for the test drive with tires that were bald. (We took the car home overnight for the test drive). After we got the car home, we drove for a couple of hours and noticed there was a horrible rotton egg smell that wouldn't go away. I later found out that there was a hole in one of the pipes underneath the car that was contibuting to the odor. When we test drove the car, this odor was not there. Also, after the first rain, the car leaked. we later discovered that the moulding around the front window had been tampered with and this was contributing towards the leak. Soon after that the battery died, and there is a list of other problems that another Nissan dealership gave me after checking out the car. I believe that the George Harte Nissan organization tampered with the vehicle after my husband and I made the final offer and before I picked up the vehicle. I have no proof of this, but I know that when we test drove the car, remember we took it home overnight, these problems did not exist. I WOULDN'T TRUST THESE GUYS IF MY LIFE DEPENDED ON IT. More

Negotiated a price for a 2011 Juke -told vehicle was in stock,made a deposit - despite hearing Fowler tell me he was contacting my insurance agent to get insurance card set for me to pick up the vehicle,ov stock,made a deposit - despite hearing Fowler tell me he was contacting my insurance agent to get insurance card set for me to pick up the vehicle,over several days and several calls,learned a week later dealer never had the vehicle. Davis continued the ruse by perpetuating that the vehicle they were expecting was first delayed and then never received. Only Mercier was straight with me a full week later and fessed up that there was no vehicle and would not be one prior to February. Mercier promised to refund the deposit on Jan 8th. This is the 18th and the refunds promised 10 days ago,still not processed. Many promises, many lies,most often the representative fast talks over the customer. Will NOT do business with them! More
We answered an Internet ad for a used white 2009 Murano, exactly what my wife had been looking for almost a year. A Sales Consultant called back and indicated that we probably could make the deal proposed i exactly what my wife had been looking for almost a year. A Sales Consultant called back and indicated that we probably could make the deal proposed in our email. So, we drove the 50 miles to W. Haven. We were not dissapointed. The car was as advertised. Stew was very helpful. He was very forthright with us and answered all our questions. We also feel he made every effort to get us a cargo cover for the vehicle, apparently an optional item now. We made the deal and left with a positive feeling. We had never been into New Haven, so we took the opportunity, and drove downtown. We walked the Green and Yale campus, and ended up in one of those little restaurants. When we picked up the vehicle, the two items in question were addressed, and it was cleaned and polished. More
