I’ve leased my Volvo XC90 for three years and I’m now buying it off a lease. It’s been the perfect car and I love it. Today I brought it into the service center and got the same quality service I have fo buying it off a lease. It’s been the perfect car and I love it. Today I brought it into the service center and got the same quality service I have for the last three years. They gave me a ride home after I dropped the car, and picked me back up when my car was done. Everyone I came in contact with had a great attitude. They make my car maintenance completely hassle free. More
Beginning of June I had my car for a regular service and service was great. Yesterday I brought my car for service with a very unusual problem. My sunroof was making gurgling noise during driving at certain speed in a rain. Being in the car business myself I know how difficult can be to fix anything that happens only in certain conditions but they acknowledge my issue and found solution how to fix it. Service advisor Pete and technician Francisco kept me informed through the whole process. Absolutely amazing service. More
Be very cautious about promises and warranties. The accessories like tow hitches do not perform as promised and the dealership response is delay/ forget/ignore. They then promise to make it right, don accessories like tow hitches do not perform as promised and the dealership response is delay/ forget/ignore. They then promise to make it right, don’t return phone calls and provide silly solutions that make the hitch worse. You will never have these problems with other cars guaranteed! The service team is below par and they claim to be expert problem solvers. However the workmanship is shoddy and they can’t measure for a hitch sleeve. Never again Volvo. More

I want to say purchasing a vehicle at Gengras through Jeff Swierbutowicz was awesome, but also dealing with their service team recently-Chris, Peter and Christy was also a great experience. Highly recommend! More
Emergency service I had never been to Gengras Volvo before. Driving through CT all my warning lights came on at once. After pulling over and checking under the hood, I had never been to Gengras Volvo before. Driving through CT all my warning lights came on at once. After pulling over and checking under the hood, I restarted the engine and the check engine light stayed on. I searched online for the nearest Volvo service and found Gengras. I got the car there, even though they were busy, they were able to get me into service. Within an hour, they identified the problem and got me on my way for the next four hours of my trip. Too boot, at no charge. Peter in service was knowledgable and very professional. In fact everyone I met was professional. The waiting room was pleasant. Overa More
No exceptions on return items. The dealership has absolutely no forgiveness for ordering wrong parts. Even if you request a return less than 24 hours after ordering a part and then The dealership has absolutely no forgiveness for ordering wrong parts. Even if you request a return less than 24 hours after ordering a part and then offer to pay shipping and handling they will still deny you a return. It's their strict policy. So, if you figure out how to fix your car and save yourself some money, you might be stuck with a $170 fuel line. After just purchasing a used Volvo that needs minor repairs I can say without a doubt that all replacement parts are EXTREMELY expensive. And if you value your money DO NOT buy a used Volvo. In addition, based on the huge recall and issues with newer models I think it would be an extremely unwise idea to purchase a new Volvo. So if you're thinking about going Volvo because they supposedly run forever, get ready to pay a fortune trying to maintain it. Learn from my mistake! More
Purchased an extended warranty when I purchased my Ford Explorer from Gengras Lincoln Mercury, last year my low battery light came on took in to the dealer, they called and told me that it was not covered Explorer from Gengras Lincoln Mercury, last year my low battery light came on took in to the dealer, they called and told me that it was not covered because of corroded wires and that it would cost me $500.00, I told them that made no sense to me and that I would like them to take another look, next thing I know is I'm getting a call that they repaired and I owe $500.00, when I told them that I didn't authorize the repair they told me it was a miscommunication, no sooner did I leave the service center the low battery light came on again, back in to the service center again well hard to believe this time is was the alternator and it was covered under the warranty, hmmm, seems to me that the alternator was the problem the whole time, can't trust this service center and when my warranty is up i will not go back, unfortunately my engine light came on when on vacation, so I had it checked out in SC and was told it was the evaporator pressure switch, when we returned from vacation I called Gengras for an appt, again still under warranty, I told them what was wrong and left it there for the day, they called me at 3:00 to tell me they can not fix because they are no longer a ford authorized service center and they don't have the equipment to diagnose and fix the problem, REALLY!!!! What a waste of my time, so they told me I would have to take it to another Ford authorized dealer they told me Hoffman Ford was down the street but suggested I take it to either a ford dealer in Glastonbury or one in Windsor. To bad Gengras USED to give good service, now VERY BAD service and VERY BAD customer service, my suggestion take your business to someone that cares More
I had to have my car serviced for an electrical system I had to have my car serviced for an electrical system failure. Had it towed and dropped it off on a Friday afternoon. Was called on Monday mornin I had to have my car serviced for an electrical system failure. Had it towed and dropped it off on a Friday afternoon. Was called on Monday morning about repairs and didn't hear back from them until Thursday morning, the day I picked up the car. I had called on Wednesday to ask about the progress and didn't get a call back from my service rep. When I picked up the car, I became aware of the missing Fuel Tank Cover Door. I called the service rep to ask about my missing door, as it was in place when I dropped off the car. I was given a 'run-around' about how it may have fallen off at a gas station, even though I made it clear that it was on the car when I left it in the lot. He told me he'd ask around to find out more information and he'd get back to me... He never called back. I had to call the Service Rep Manager, Kurt S. Eventually they discovered that someone in their service department found the Fuel door on their parking lot grounds and this person didn't know to which car it belonged, so they threw it away... So, in the process of getting a new Fuel tank cover, I am told by Kurt that I will have to pay for the replacement and they will cover labor... They are saying, since they don't know how the door found its way to the parking lot pavement, they won't cover the cost of replacing the part. I say, I dropped off my car with a fuel door and now it is gone, it turns out that your service employee threw it in the garbage. Why I am footing the bill for the replacement eludes my sensibility. Keep in mind, these conversations generally take 24 hours to proceed, as I typically leave a message and get a call back a day later... I also informed the service rep of other electrical failures that weren't addressed by repair reps, most notably, my driver's seat controls that allow me to adjust the position of the seat. I specifically mentioned that problem and it wasn't resolved. Needless to say, I am very disappointed by the experience I had with a service department that is supposed to strive for outstanding customer care. More
I own a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis. It has served my father, who passed away, and now me, very well. But as an eight year old vehicle, things have started to happen. I have needed the air conditioning father, who passed away, and now me, very well. But as an eight year old vehicle, things have started to happen. I have needed the air conditioning fixed, brake work, a rear suspension problem, and the headlight control module. Each time I come, I have been promptly served, have been given a good loaner car, and have had the work done in good time and at the price estimated upon delivery. So I have been extremely satisfied with the service I have received. More

One time I recieved a $50.00 off coupon to use for shape. He is always friendly and courteous. I appreciate the perks given to me by the company. One time I recieved a $50.00 off coupon to use for service. That was terrific. I could use another one of those as Peter tells me it's time to change the platinum spark plugs on my car--a costly service . Thanks you. Patricia Nye More
