As you can see below this response Gengras Volvo of Meriden wrote their response. I'm sure you have read it or will read it & know why I am again answering there response again. Theire response to me below states that they apologise for any inconvenience that I may have experienced at their dealership…BUT the next sentence says Please contact "me" directly if I would like to discuss this matter. This is all well & fine and sounds Great in theory but I tried calling for 2 days to get in touch & discuss this rather important matter. When ROGER finally soke to me he said, " I spoke to the Powers that be and we do not have to do anything. His rant was Loud, Aggressive & Very Rude to me on our this 1 phone call. It was very one sided, There was no reasoning to me or Resolve on this matter. I honestly believe no one is perfect & we all make mistakes. I believe, in this particular case, they made some very serious blunders & do not want to own them. As I said if it was a New car under warranty it would have been different. But being a used vehicle they do not want to own up to the mistake as it will cost them time & money. If you read the Better Business Bureau reply to this same set of variables I wrote to BBB you will see they indicate I run a small European Auto business. In this particular visit to their Dealership was to do a diagnosis Nothing else. I get back a Volvo that will not go forward or reverse do to Emergency Brake Locked. I owning a Euro auto business only know if I handed back this Volvo to my customer He would have been Irate and completly all over me for this repair. He as I would have said 1 hour ago my Emergency Brake was fine now you drive it out of your garage bay and I cannot move the Volvo. As a SMALL business owner & to keep My Customer I would have had to COMPETLY INSPECT THE EMERGENCY BRAKES & to keep my Small Euro Repair business customer I would meet him Half way on the repair because it happened in my care while I was driviing it in & out of my garage. We, the customer & I, would have tried to resolve this by a 50/50 cost. 1 to keep my customer & 2 to keep a very good name as a REPAIR SHOP to my small community of customers that I service. It would have cost me but it would have assisted in keeping me a Good Repair shop & a Fair resolve of any problems that may come up under the repair work I do or any mishape that may occure during my repair or DIAGNOSIS which had nothing to do with this Volvo's Emergency Brake Cable braking unless someone who, in my professional opinion had to have pulled up on the Emergency Brake Handle in the car very hard and snapped the cable. As Gengras Volvo of Meriden has stated I am a small repair shop, I inspected the Volvo and found that to be the case. They, Gengras of Meriden would not listen to reason & my removal of parts & inspection of the Emergency Brake Handle, Cable & other parts in the system that I, as a repair shop would have done for any of my customers to see the complete situation & I would have still split the cost with, my shop doing the labor & the customer paying fot the Parts Only. This is what I had proposed to Gengras of Meriden & that is when I had the Rude, Aggresive & a completely one sided phone call response from Gengras of Meriden. He said " I spoke to the powers that be & we do not have to do anything! I my professional opinion he is wrong on one of accounts, They do not have to do anything BUT I being a small buisness owner I would have met the customer half one on this unfortunate set of circumstances. We, the customer & I would have split the bill,again customer paying for the parts & my shop paying for the labor...
