Great Experiencing Purchasing Our VW from Gengras We traveled well over an hour to buy our new VW Atlas from Gengras. That statement might not mean a lot to you if the closest dealer is an hour away but, in our case, we have about a dozen dealers to choose from (in the CT/NY/NJ metro area) who are equidistant or closer (including one that's less than 10 miles from our home). Once we chose the car we wanted to buy, I reached out to each of those VW dealers for the best price on the 2 cars we wanted to purchase. Tom Backer, the Sales Manager at Gengras VW, responded quickly, making it clear he wanted our business and wasn't going to play games. He understood that we were motivated by price, transparency, and didn't want to spend a lot of time haggling back and forth. Within the day he came back to us with an amazing price that none of the other dealerships could touch. Tom was thorough, professional, and did right by us throughout the entire transaction process. After the terms were agreed, Tom handed us over to his salesperson, Dominic Giordano, to close out the transaction and support the delivery process as well as our trade-in. Dominic was professional, communicative, and a pleasure to work with throughout the process, as well. He spent a great deal of time walking us through all of the vehicle's features on the day of delivery, patiently answering all of our questions. Tom and Dominic even helped price out our trade-in without seeing the car in-person. With a detailed description of the vehicle's condition and service history, they provided us with a competitive trade-in value that they stuck to after evaluating the car in-person. By way of contrast, the salesperson at the closest dealership (less than 10 miles from us) lied to us, quoted a high price, and told us it was the best he could do without knowing what competitors were offering. He was thousands of dollars higher than other dealers. When I politely brought it to the attention of their manager, the manager asked to speak with me but never returned my phone call or responded to any of my emails despite my attempts to follow up. Consequently, they lost the sale of two vehicles. Our experience with Gengras VW was night and day to what we dealt with locally. Our transaction was painless (although Luke in Finance definitely needs a new printer lol). The entire team was no-pressure, take your time, ask questions, and let us know what we can do to help. It was the way car buying should be. We've already recommended them to friends. More

Had previously used this dealer when it was Crowley, left I had previously been going to this dealer when it was Crowley, had dealt with Betty and she is truly exceptional, listened, research, everything, but I had previously been going to this dealer when it was Crowley, had dealt with Betty and she is truly exceptional, listened, research, everything, but after a time the dealership was getting sloppy, not diagnosing issues and left for another dealer in the area that met my expectations. Fast Forward to last week, previously received a card that the dealership changed hands to Gengras VW so I figured I was due for a fluid change to give them another shot. had a morning appointment arrived about 15m early since I had to get to work afterward, the car sat waiting for over 30minutes, ok well not too bad, oil change took just over an hr so time was getting tight to get to work, got called over and the quick lube rep went over the paperwork. Oil change, any issues, car wash, ok, coupon they sent got me a deal, that's nice, walk out to the car and its filthy? hmm says on the w/o wash and vacuum, went inside to check and was told wash is broken its automatically put down on the w/o come back anytime, couldn't just tell me that when you went over things? I really thought the extra time was them cleaning the car a bit, unfortunately, I'm 40m away so just popping by for a wash isn't in the cards with the chance it's broken, just seems like same old dealership with a new coat of paint. the coupon was nice but true customer service takes a back road these days, informing customers of issues with anything should be first and foremost and an oil change that takes over an hr and a half seems excessive but I digress. Betty was a pleasure to speak to as always, very nice service rep! More

She listened to what I wanted , gave helpful advice,, and helped me through the process. Very positive person. Thoroughly explained the workings of the car and even went so far as buy me a cord for my I phone so I could plug my phone into the car system to learn to use it. I would recommend Gengras.
