IN another month this rating will be a 5. Just a little bit more learning curve on the genesis vs. Hyundai. I wish there was a dedicated Genesis showroom. the service staff that attended to my 2023 GV70 were all great. they performed the recall and fixed some other updates which they found. the vehicle has widely known issues such as when the xm channels are frozen and not able to scroll. I know the workaround but the service team was not aware of this matter. The vehicle is great with two glaring miscues - the lack of adaptive headlights and the primitive need to plug your phone in to access apple car play which may or may not come up after you plug it in. so when GENESIS corporate improves the matters noted above the service team will be much better informed. And the software fixes should be done over the air without the need to bring the vehicle to the service folks. the dealership sells 40 Hyundai for every genesis (just a dart throw) vs. Genesis of North Charleston where I bought the car whose sales and service teams are fully educated in all matters relating to this vehicle. ON the sale side CJ was a tremendous help to me - just not enough incoming inventory compared to the high volume allocated to Genesis of North Charleston. AS I SCROLL DOWN TO IDENTIFY WHICH VEHICLE GENESIS IS NOT EVEN LISTED!!!!!!!!!!! More
I brought my 2023 GV80 in for a safety recall. I had a 10am appointment. After waiting an hour I was told they were really backed up and they were giving me a loaner. I went home and by 4:30 still I had a 10am appointment. After waiting an hour I was told they were really backed up and they were giving me a loaner. I went home and by 4:30 still haven’t heard anything! I called and told them I needed my car. They then said it would be ready in 15 minutes! I don’t understand how someone with an appointment scheduled for a 2 hour service has their car in service for 7 hours? And now on top of it my navigational system is not working! Waiting for a call back since you have to go thru Hyundai to get to Genesis service! Very disappointed to say the least. However I want to add the GV80 is a terrific car- service needs to be greatly improved. More
They were listening to my needs. My passenger door was dirty from oil and was a scratch on the door when returned from service. It was done at the shop. It wasn’t like that when I brought in car for service. She said to come back on Monday afternoon & they would trie to pay bluff it out. I was there on Wed afternoon but had to wait until Mon. I don’t have any confidence that anything will be done. Technician didn’t review invoice. I had to ask him to explain what was done. I also needed additional services. He was busy working on another invoice before closing. Not good customer service!!! More
