I have never had a worse experience at a car dealership than at Genesis of Danbury. I was lied to multiple times, I was cheated multiple times, and I was ignored. This could be a very long review but the short version is I went on a test drive and liked a certified used 2022 Genesis G70 but immediately noticed a sensor error on the dash. I brought it up and was told it was a known issue and would be taken care of. I go inside and agree to buy it and the sales guy tells me the price of the car is going up because I’m paying cash when he just told me 3 days prior the price is the same no matter how I pay. When I bring that up to him he has the nerve to lie to my face and say the rule just changed in the last 3 days. They string me along for a week while they try to fix the sensor error, I leave work earlier a week later when they tell me its ready, I have an appointment and spend close to 3 hours at the dealership doing paperwork. I drive it off the lot and 10 min later then sensor error comes back on. I immediately called and they said they’d give me a loaner. After a ton of back and forth for over a month it comes out in an email that this sensor error has been known since March! 7 months before I stepped foot into the dealership. So they sold me a car that they have not been able to fix for 7 months and called it a certified car. I tell them numerous times I don’t want the car anymore and I want a refund and my trade in car back. They tell me they can’t give me my trade in vehicle back because they sold my trade in. My trade in could not have been sold because I never gave them the title to it as I was on the duplicate to come in from DMV. I had to write an email to the owners of the dealership telling them how awful this entire process has been. I get a call back and they agree to refund me and give me my trade in back. They 3 days later they call me back and again tell me they can’t give me my trade in back because it is indeed sold (again without the title) They have lied the entire way. There are many more details I could give about this 2 months ordeal but that is the basic version. In the end I bought from Genesis Milford which was a much more honest and reasonable dealership and actually a pleasure to work with. Stay far far away from Genesis Danbury. More

I recently purchased a new GV70 and traded in a BMW X5 as part of the purchase. I was issued new registration plates as a part of the transaction. Five weeks after the sale I received a voicemail from the CT part of the purchase. I was issued new registration plates as a part of the transaction. Five weeks after the sale I received a voicemail from the CT Dept. of Motor Vehicles informing me that the dealer re-registered the BMW in my name in addition to the new GV70. I have spent 40 minutes on hold with the DMV twice trying to resolve this as well as 40 minutes at my local tax collector's office explaining what has occurred so that next June when two property tax bills arrive I will have documentation. Multiple calls to the sales department (salesman Carlos Montoya) and the Genesis general manager have been unreturned. The general manager's voicemail box is full and will not accept any messages. I love the vehicle and have found the service department to be top-notch The Genesis Genius vehicle instruction session was fantastic. The sales team and management are not providing the luxury car experience that the Genesis brand is striving for. I would not use this dealer again. More

By this time I was about to switch to a Lexus but fortunately Courtney Delmore answered one of the sales managers. This gentleman was absolutely incredible. I have purchased many many vehicles in my time dealt with many good & poor salesman. Courtney is by far the ultimate salesman. He not only matched my price but got the car color & options I was looking for. I traveled about 80 miles to this dealership. Definitely worth the ride. I contacted Mr. Delmore who assisted me with the issue, and was able to "nudge" our dealership in the right direction with regard to fixing the issue. I would HIGHLY recommend contacting Mr. Delmore and Mr. Montoya for your sales needs. They were extemely knowledgeable and accessible at all times throughout the purchase process and beyond. Thinking that they are ready to negotiate pricing the manager calls me and says “why you keep calling me baby?” To which I replied that their dealership had in fact reached out. I asked if we would get to the numbers discussed to which his response was “never going to happen”. Even if they gave me the best price in the area, I would not do business here. News flash, you cannot sell a $70,000 car with .25 cent professionalism. More
