I was looking for a GV60 and selected one of the cars available at Genesis of Albany. I selected that I'd like to lease it and selected 10,000 miles per year. All the other inputs were put in by the de available at Genesis of Albany. I selected that I'd like to lease it and selected 10,000 miles per year. All the other inputs were put in by the dealer's website. The payment came out to $571/mo which I thought was good, so I continued on and submitted the offer. The website said the next step is to come in to the dealership to test drive and continue the purchase process. They invite you to apply for financing ahead of time to speed up the process, and state that there will be "No surprises at the dealership." Once I submitted my offer, I was told there was a discrepancy with the website and the offered payment wasn't possible, but they'd give me their best offer. After several hours, their best offer came in at $710/mo...nearly $140/mo more than stated on their website. This seems to be a classic bait and switch routine. At that point, we couldn't trust these people, and went elsewhere to get our GV60. Too bad, I think Genesis dealers are really hoping to move their slowing moving GV60s before 9/30. We would have taken one off their hands if they'd been even close to accountable for their error, but they weren't. It was the usual, "You can't expect us to honor the price we quoted you! Here's the real, higher number." Not very cool or professional. More
