I've had some good experiences in the past when I went in to have the oil change done. However, more recently I have had major doubts about the quality and honesty of the work done here. My car had been in a to have the oil change done. However, more recently I have had major doubts about the quality and honesty of the work done here. My car had been in a wreck and has issues with the steering. I had the shop manager Jose drive the car with me and he confirmed that the vehicle pulls to the right. He said they could do a multi-point inspection to see if there is an issue they can find that is causing the pull in the steering. Two-hundred and twenty-three dollars later, they tell me that it's because there is a radial pull in the tires and that one of the tires is out of round. On the paperwork they said that they switches the front tires and that it is now pulling to the left. It did not in xact start pulling to the left. It still pulls to the right. They gave us an estimate of $661 dollars for 4 new tires. My husband took our vehicle to discount tire, where we usually buy our tires, to have them look it over. They concluded that the tread wear is good on the tires and that there wasn't an issue. We had also been noticing that the vehicle had been leaking oil after a recent oil change. Yet when they completed the first multi-point inspection they found no oil leaks. We took the vehicle back uo there the second time. Jose confirmed it does still pull to the right, and maintains that it's because the tires are out of round (yet before they said it pulls to the left now, and they switched the tires...?). They claim the oil leak is due to the oil pan threading being cross threaded, yet the oil changes I've had done all occurred there, or at my home without the use of high-powered tools. I had noticed that I had a leak in the oil before due to having not placed a washer with a rubber o-ring on. Yet they say they are going to have to replace the whole oil pan. They also claimed that they wanted to check the pistons to see if that was causing a pull in the vehicle. My husband and I both felt that they were just looking for ways to rack up more costs. I don't trust this team at the Kia Service Center in Lubbock and would not recommend taking it there. More
