salesmen rude Went in to buy new car. salesman me told me, due to me being on disability i would never be able to get a loan. Went to varsity ford, bought a new car, no trouble getting a loan., never shared financial info with salesman. Same week, my daughter needed a used car. We put a deposit on a used car with the used sales department at Gene Butman ford. We were planning to take car to our mechanic next day. When we came back the next day, salesmen had sold the car to someone else and gave us our check back. My daughter liked my new car. She asked if she could buy it instead of me. She is a college student living at home, working part time. I did not want to give her the car i liked. Salesman a Varsity ford over heard her ask to buy the car. Salesman dealer traded to get her a car like mine, but different color. She took out a loan in her name alone. We were both able to pay cash for both new cars. Not wanting to give info out on our financials, we did not explain our money situation to either dealership. . Interest on the car loans were both about 2 % and we were getting about 8 to 10 % on our investments. Financial advisor told us both to take loans. Taking loans also increased our credit scores. Gene Butman lost 2 sales in a wk, due to being judgemental of me in the 1st 5 minutes of meeting me. Others have told me they lost 3 sales, if one adds the used car. But i dont not think that is true, they did sell it to someone else. In the end, was a blessing for us the used sales men messed us over and sold the car we had a deposit on. As far as my daughters car, we are both happier with the new car for her. In end it was a blessing. Other blessing. our mechanic told us not to buy new focus with automatic transmissions, due to transmissions being bad in the focus. I have always owned a manual stick shift and daughter learned to drive on one. We are both happy with the 2 new sticks we have. We both love the hatch backs. We are both happy to have ford focus hatchback, it is a blessing they are different colors, sense they are same yr and look alike. More

Poor customer service I went to Gene Butman to purchase a used truck. I paid asking price for the truck which totaled to over $40k. I left the dealership with one key and l I went to Gene Butman to purchase a used truck. I paid asking price for the truck which totaled to over $40k. I left the dealership with one key and less than a quarter tank of gas, both unacceptable at this price level. I called the next day about acquiring an additional key. My salesman Dan Gregway said that he would locate a key for me at cost, $20 and labor. I drove 45 minutes to the dealership, waited an hour for them to program a new key all for them to tell me the key would cost me $272. That’s the price any Ford dealership would charge. The service man told me that he didn’t understand why I was being charged for something that should’ve come with the car anyway. I agreed but was willing to pay the $20 + labor. I went back to my salesman to discuss the price discrepancy. He told me that he only made $200 off of the truck and that he tried to tell me discretely over the phone to try other options. Good customer service is the key to repeat business. I wasted a total of 2.5 hrs of my time, all to leave unsatisfied and with no options to resolve the matter. More
Best dealership experience! I just leased my second car from Gene Butman and I couldn't be more satisfied! I never feel the high pressure there and I can tell that they are concerned with getting me in the right vehicle. Car shopping for me can be a painful experience, as I feel that most dealers just want to put you in any car at any price just to make a sale. Not a Gene Butman! I really appreciated them not pushing me in a car that I didn't like. My sales person, Annie Lloyd, explained to me all the rebates that were available to me and when it would be the best time to get out of my current lease. She made the time to address all of my questions and concerns, as I can be a very picky customer! I also like that she asked me to send over all of my information the day before I signed my new lease. It made the process go much quicker. For somebody who is very busy, I appreciated not being at the dealership for hours! Annie also explained all the cool technology functions of the car and paired my phone with the vehicles. She showed me how to operate everything and made sure that I was comfortable with it before signing any paperwork. I will be a Gene Butman customer for life. They make the whole car buying experience wonderful! More

Not only was he very personable, but he listened to what I wanted and found me the best possible deal for my price range.
