I have purchased a used tribute from Gem Mazda in first part of 08. The service at Gem Mazda is outstanding and they have always taken great care of my vehicle and any problems that my vehicle has had. The part of 08. All services performed on my car goes through Mazada. I deviated from this rule once and would never do that again! Their staff is polite, work gets completed when promised and always for the price I expe deviated from this rule once and would never do that again! In most cases they no them by name when they walk in the door. I have been a Mazada owner for 28 years. Wouldn't buy anything else! More
I have had my car serviced there on many occasions and have always received prompt, friendly, and overall excellant service. If there was a problem I was having with my car and I told the service manager have always received prompt, friendly, and overall excellant service. I like that....They are certainly customer oriented which is something that is rare this day and time. More
horrible cars to begin with. customer service only makes you mad. my car has been in their shop for 4 days and still has not been diagnosed yet. i cant get a rental car without a diagnostic and gem mazda you mad. my car has been in their shop for 4 days and still has not been diagnosed yet. i cant get a rental car without a diagnostic and gem mazda is dragging their ass big time. two cars in their entire shop(including mine) and the 1 mechanic that was there looks to be about 100 years old and was sitting in a chair looking outside the shop staring into space. the customer service is outrageous. a total ass and a dumb one at that. keeps telling me the diagnostic should be done by end of the day...3 days ago. my personal mechanic that i took the car to first looked at it for 45 minutes and gave me a list of all the was wrong: motor is worn and needs to be replace, evaporative emissions system has a small leak, transmission is not communicating with the rest of the car(pcm?), etc... do not buy mazda unless you want a migraine and to be ripped off. More
Best car buying experience I've had in my 63 years! It was a difficult deal, upside down loan, low value trade-in and other issues. Scott and Mike worked EXCEPTIONALLY hard to find a way to make a deal w was a difficult deal, upside down loan, low value trade-in and other issues. Scott and Mike worked EXCEPTIONALLY hard to find a way to make a deal work. It took two days, we found a solution, and then...MUCH to my surprise, the interest rate on the loan was 6%, payments affordable, and both Scott and Mike were ever encouraging, never gave up, never told me, "Ain't gonna happen." As to "why" about my ratings, it's simply because I was treated with the utmost respect, consideration and friendliness. I was never pressured, there were no "extras" that they pushed at me, such as undercoating or any other expensive but purely profit for the dealer. I would recommend Gem Mazda to anyone and the little Mazda 3 5-door that I got is "Velocity Red" and for me...that's JUST what I wanted. Superior dealer, excellent staff. A FIRST RATE experience from the moment I walked in the door! More

My experience with Gem was an interesting one, but overall I would classify it as a very good experience. My 3 year old Mazda CX-7 broke down during a road trip and had to be towed to the closest dea overall I would classify it as a very good experience. My 3 year old Mazda CX-7 broke down during a road trip and had to be towed to the closest dealer which happened to be Gem Mazda. Their service staff treated my wife with a great deal of respect and did everything they could to help her get a rental car and be on her way to pick me up....while I was stuck waiting near where the car had broken down. The staff worked hard to get the vehicle repaired by the time we were traveling back through the area. Unfortunately the same issue repeated itself quickly after we picked up the car and we were stuck at the dealership. At that point the owner Ken stepped in and began to work with us personally. THough the service manager, Will, came in on his day off to try and help the situation I was fed up with the car and just wanted to trade it in so we could get back home. I approached Ken with the idea of trading it in for a truck. He went out of his way to find us a vehicle and work a deal with another local company. He gave us a fair value for our car (due to the circumstances very fair) and more importantly treated me with respect and courtesy. I was an anxious buyer, but he did not attempt to take advantage and quite to the contrary worked me an excellent deal for a vehicle I am very satisfied with. Allen and the sales team got us through the paperwork while ensuring the vehicle was gassed up, detailed and ready to go. All and all I have never been to a dealer who was so willing to show me the numbers behind the deal and be upfront. I would not have bought a vehicle otherwise. Both the owner and Allen, have since followed up to make sure we made it home alright and that I was happy with my purchase. I would recommend this dealership and felt I was treated with the respect the very frustrating situation deserved. More
This was probably the best experience I've had purchasing a new car in years. This is my 13th car in the last 2 years and have dealt with a lot of people in that time. I was truly amazed that I could get a a new car in years. This is my 13th car in the last 2 years and have dealt with a lot of people in that time. I was truly amazed that I could get a Mazda Miata Touring at only $1000 more than the nearest used a 2 year old Miata with 19,000 miles. I would say that I am a demanding buyer, but Gem Mazda were able to satisfy me at every step of the purchase including the financing. I have owned many types of cars including a Porsche Boxster and I can with hand on my heart say I would not pay the $20,000 difference. Every day I tell my wife that this little car is the best I've ever driven. Many thanks to Ken and his team for an excellent experience. Andrew, Pelham, GA More
If you want to be jerked around in every possible way- by all means go to Gem Mazda- you will love it. If you expect to be treated decently- RUN!!!! This is an office of people that might seem nice at first but will quickly show their ineptitude. They sold me a car with 35,000 miles on it that needed a brand new engine. The engine was clogged with oil from a previous owner not doing oil changes. They saw this problem and poured clean oil over it so when you check the dipstick it looks clean. They saw a problem and as apposed to fixing it they pushed it off. Then the warranty that they sold me-VOID! They couldn't even enter their paperwork correctly. They sold me a warranty for a vehicle that has less miles so the warranty company voided it out. Then they never told me about the problem! 2 weeks after I purchased the car I was driving and it broke down. I called my warranty company for roadside assistance but I couldn't get any because I had no warranty on file. I couldn't get a tow or a rental car because I was not on file. It took asking Gem Mazda nicely, less nicely, and then out right screaming and yelling before they lifted a finger to help. This happened over 2 months ago and I am still waiting for a rental car reimbursement and tow reimbursement. How dare I expect my like-new car to drive for more than 2 weeks after I purchase it! Consider this your warning! More
My husband and I went to Gem Mazda to seek out any good used cars. Our price range was low, around $5000, and we went in to see if they had any cars that fit that description (below $5000, good condition, used cars. The salespeople were rude and tried to talk us into getting a new car because it would be a better use of our money. After speaking with the manager, who laughed when we told him our price range, he proceeded to tell us we would NEVER find a car that fit that description at his dealer let alone anywhere in Tallahassee. We told him that was not true - we had already seen a couple. He told us he would show us some cars around our monthly range and then gave us the numbers for cars that were around $275-$300 per month. The staff DO NOT listen to customers and Gem Mazda will NEVER get our business. More
