Jonn Eric offered the best car buying experience of my life! He went out of way at every opportunity. Currently, used cars are scarce and often overpriced. Gebhardt is the one-in-a-million dealership: tru life! He went out of way at every opportunity. Currently, used cars are scarce and often overpriced. Gebhardt is the one-in-a-million dealership: trustworthy, hard-working, and ethical. They do thorough pricing research to set great deals within a 500/mile radius. Most dealers do not extend that range as it lowers prices. The company doesn’t take advantage of the current chip / auto storage. Their ethical business practices are reliable. They are cultivating clients, which is unheard of in the current used car climate of Northern Colorado. Jonn Eric took the time to understand my needs and we developed a rapport, which made me trust the man. In other dealerships, I was pitted against the used car salesman where it was clear only one person wins. Jonn Eric listened to me so thoughtfully, he made a personal connection between the Gebhardt family and mine. I met two charming, professional and welcoming members of this well-rooted, dynamic company. Jonn Eric made this connection for me. The time he spent with me allowed me to feel secure in my purchase. Many car sales people pit buyers against each other. Jonn Eric was honest at every step: no manufactured bidding wars at Gebhardt. I’ve been researching the specific car I purchased. Thus, my questions were detailed. Jonn Eric answered all he could. If a query was too specific, he’d smile and say, “Time for the owner’s manual.” Unlike every other dealership I visited, Jonn Eric didn’t leave me for “visits to his manager.” He never said, “My manager said …” or “I’ll have to run this past my manager.” The honesty, integrity, friendliness, professionalism and overall kindness reminds me of my grandfather’s Midwest Chevrolet dealership. He built loyalty one person at a time, ethically, honestly and prioritizing loyalty. You might think this is utopian; however; his ethics worked to make his dealership A top producer. He won every sales trip GM offered its top producers. Back to the commonalities between my family’s business ethics and Gebhardt’s. Jonn Eric is an integral team member of the Gebhardt family - not by blood but by his no-pressure approach, which allows clients needed time to learn about the car they might buy. Gebhardt BMW / Used Cars is a vital member of the Boulder community. I’m grateful deals at other dealerships from Broomfield to Longmont fell through so I could find my dream car, from Jonn Eric, an honorable salesman whose earned my loyalty to Gebhardt BMW/ Used Cars. “You should try a BMW X5M or a Trackhawk”, my last sales person at another store & brand told me, when I again asked what was out there that could replace TWO of my current beast SUV’s, with ONE. Too many c person at another store & brand told me, when I again asked what was out there that could replace TWO of my current beast SUV’s, with ONE. Too many cars, and too many trades, but he was right. Drove a few X5’s. Liked. Thankfully there’s several BMW dealers in Colorado, and after inquiring online at all of them, and pondering different engines & options, I got connected with James Yelvington at Gebhardt BMW in Boulder. I still wasn’t sure, but let him know I was open, either to the plug in Hybrid or a full M…crazy, as usual. James, nailed it. “We have a plug in demo, and a CPO 2022 X5M, BUT I also have—hard to find—an almost fully loaded brand new X5 M50i someone ordered, and backed out of. Same V8 as the M, but posher. Come see it.” I did. I loved it. And it checked the performance boxes I loved of the M, but in a posher more luxurious package, for…$25k less. James & the Gebhardt team, including Tomaso, and especially Ryan Ballweg in finance, were on point and incredibly helpful, with a complex “trade 2 brand new expensive cars for 1 new expensive car”, and even instantly available by text & email as I was traveling for work on the east coast. Everything was done, ready, wrapped up, they helped me get my 2nd trade to the store even on a busy Saturday, and have been nothing but a pleasure to deal with. Refreshing, after the last few expensive cars I’ve purchased and their dealers, to also experience how great the service team is here. Needed something checked out, and instead of “we’ll take a look and see”, even on a Saturday they had the Shop Foreman Jonathan to go for a ride with me. Live in Denver, and yes, technically we have 2 other stores “kind of closer”, but the experience at Gebhardt in Boulder and fun, easy 32 minute nice trip is worth it. Thanks for welcoming me to BMW, from the great team here. More

Once we arrived, he was very personable, took the time to understand exactly what we wanted and showed us the truck, did our test drive with us. (even though it was now after hours for him). He was thorough and returned my calls. i would call Jon Eric if /when I am back in market. (yes, I did buy the truck) More

Gloomy as the day wasI got a warm welcome from Jon and he showed me the car I came into test drive. Then we added another. Good "car talk" about the cars and I left to continue the test drives on my list. I showed me the car I came into test drive. Then we added another. Good "car talk" about the cars and I left to continue the test drives on my list. I became clear that the best choices and best collegial treatment was at Gebhardt and with Jon. Another test drive and I was sold. This was my third used car purchase from Gebhardt - 2004. 2008 and now . Glad I came back. More
From the start, this felt very “off” but I wanted to trust them. The sales experience was slimy and they hire people who pretend that they are sales people, but in reality they just handle inbound inqui trust them. The sales experience was slimy and they hire people who pretend that they are sales people, but in reality they just handle inbound inquiries, gain the interest from the perspective buyer and then switch them to a sales person the moment they step foot into the showroom. I was clear about what I wanted with the lease and they agreed to it, in writing. I was promised that the clear bra would cover the zones we discussed and agreed to, INCLUDING the front bumper and rocker panels, since those areas get the most rock chips on our highways. I paid nearly $1100 (documentation attached) for those items to be done, and they put it into the contract on a “WE OWE” sheet which is a legal binding document. I made countless calls and emails to the owner of the dealership as well as the general sales manager Greg Jones, of which I have all documentation of. The sales person, James was also involved in the entire transaction and kept saying he was embarrassed by how they handled everything and he wished they had more integrity. Greg stated he would have a mobile tech come out and install the clear bra as promised, but they never did so. I owned the car almost a month and they still didn’t do what they promised. I called BMW customer care and they started a case file for me but stated that since the dealer is independently owned, it would have to be taken care of with the dealership. They stated they reached out to the dealer Gebhardt, and Greg told them they didn’t need to honor their contract, since I sold the vehicle. They completely ignored the fact (literally fact) that I contacted them many times to get the work done, and to talk about my concerns with the dealership after leasing a $100k vehicle. They NEVER followed up, including the owner of the dealership or the general sales manager, NOBODY. I feel sorry for James the sales person, because he stated he’s always caught in the middle of their promises and tactics. Well this time is different, it’s a contract, it’s in writing and they’ve failed to follow through with their written promises, for products I paid for and never received. This is pure fraud. Stay away from this dealership. I will continue to spread the word because it’s black and white, and documented. More

I purchased a 2019 BMW X2 December 8, 2020 (via Broker) which was imported from Canada. I noticed an issue with the fuel gauge not reading correctly, so I scheduled with Gebhardt for repair, first visiting which was imported from Canada. I noticed an issue with the fuel gauge not reading correctly, so I scheduled with Gebhardt for repair, first visiting their service center 12/22. 6 months later I'm no closer to having my repair completed by Gebhardt BMW. Shortly after arrival Nela asked me to take my car to top off the gas because “the tank needed to be full to properly diagnose the issue”. Rather than argue I left and returned with a full tank of gas. The needle on the gauge was still sitting at half which was the issue I’d brought it in for. I then sat in the lobby for no less than 4 hours before being told that I would need to come back because they didn’t get to the root of the issue and had no time to that day. The whole back seat would have to be removed to get to the fuel tank so I had no choice but to reschedule since they had no loaners. I returned with my vehicle 12/30 it was dismantled and then Nela suggested I take a loaner as parts would not be available for at least 2 weeks. As I wanted the issue remedied I agreed and left my X2 with Gebhardt BMW for the repair. I received a call on 1/20/21 to say that my vehicle was ready for pickup. I chose to go next day to pick it up due to a schedule conflict. When I arrived Nela provided my paperwork as I received my keys and quickly mentioned I didn’t to sign then sent me on my way. I didn’t argue as I needed to get my daughter to soccer. When I got in the car I noticed the temperature was using Celsius so I went into the settings and changed the units to back to US measurement. I looked at the fuel gauge and it appeared to be reading correctly now. However when I got on the highway is when I noticed the issue. I could not tell how fast I was going until I figured out how to get the onboard computer to display the speed and in MPH. My vehicle came from Canada but was converted and had a speedometer showing MPH when I took it to Gebhardt BMW. When I picked it up, my speedometer was now measured in Kilometers. It was getting dark, in rush hour traffic on the highway with my child in the car and I found myself in what I deemed an unsafe situation trying to react on the fly! When I came to a stop I looked at my paperwork, and there was something else. They mentioned a fender/ flare being damaged while performing my repair, which they then replaced. I wasn’t notified by phone or email when this happened, nor was I notified by Nela when I picked up the vehicle. I took a look at it when I got home, and it wasn’t even on there correctly, it was sticking out and not flush with the body. I was told they had no pictures and likely discarded the damaged part already (super convenient 🤔). This is inexcusable as well! At the time the only person I could air my grievance to was a service manager on loan from Gebhardt Volkswagen. Come to find out there was no service manager and there was no GM at this location. In March I did return to have the correct instrument cluster installed but during diagnostic another part in the steering column needed to be replaced. I was notified that this part would be on back order as well, and would be there within 1 month. I was told by the new service manager that they would call me when the part comes in. I advised of my schedule and that this would be fine but 2 months later haven't heard anything. I even called and left a message for the service manager directly since the service writers at this location have a terrible track record when it comes to follow-up. It's been 5 days and still haven't heard from the service manager Jonathon. While I understand that Monday was a holiday, that doesn't excuse Thursday, Friday AND Saturday as contact days. At this point I'll be making my second complaint to BMW about this Gebhardt BMW, and will also be filing a complaint with the Dealer board and the CO AG. If I could I’d give this place a 0 star rating. More
