I had a good experience two years ago when I bought a used vehicle from Gator. I was looking to by a Jeep Wrangler and thought I'd go back and see if I could get a good price. I was greeted by the salesman that I'd worked with two years ago. He had the same great message "I'm here to help, let me know when you are ready". He let me look with out feeling like I was being stalked. As soon as I had a question he recognized it and was prompt to come over and ask how he could help me. Clint Bowmen is the salesman I worked with and if you go to Gator ask for him. As for the purchase I got what I was looking for at a great price. The finance guy came down and spoke to me. I didn't have that feeling like I was being swindled with all the salesman running back and forth to the finance guy. I was also a pre approved customer and they went the extra mile to see if they could get me a better percentage rate than what I had. The staff even played along with the surprise when my wife drove up. Go to Gator ask for Clint and get a good deal. More
Dave the salesman promised us two tops for the Jeep we purchased. The soft top that was suppose to come with the vehicle was according to Dave locked up in Parts Department because we wrote up the transac purchased. He told us he would run it up to us the next day they would be open. We have our main home up in New York and were leaving the next night. Dave told us no problem when we came down next time , we could pick it up at parts department. When we came back down and tried to pick up the soft top, the parts department claimed they had no record of it . We called Dave on several attempts to reach him. Finally he returned the call and claimed he had to have the window sticker. We questioned him and he claimed he did nt remember and had to order a new window sticker to see if it was included. The bottom line is Gator Jeep and Dave refused to honor what was sold to us. Dave is a good talker BUYER BEWARE We own 8 vehicles and have never had a bad experience as this. More
This is the best car dealership I have ever been in. It's clean, everyone's friendly, you don't ever get the feeling you are being taken advantage of as you do with most car dealerships. Anyone shopping for a new or even used car would not have done their homework if they go anywhere else. Since my current vehicle had poor gas mileage (17-20 in town, 20-24 on hwy) and, given the current (and potentially the future) cost of gasoline, I began a search for a replacement for my Kia Sedona. I'd seen the car that I purchased in the newspaper, then went to the Gator website which provided a great deal of information about the car, including the CarFax. After deciding that the Corolla would be a much more economical performer gas-wise, and since the car had received a better-than-average to much-better-than-average rating and had been recommended as a 'best buy' by Consumer Reports, I contacted Debbie Patton and made an appointment to see the vehicle. Upon arriving at the dealership, Debbie met us and immediately put us at ease. This lady is, as the kids say, AWESOME! She has a great knowledge of the various brands, which impressed us. We went for a test ride, and she purposely took us on roads that were bumpy, had potholes, etc., and we also crossed railroad tracks, thus giving us a feel for how the car rode in less-than-optimum conditions. The financial arrangements were made for the purchase with none of the drama I've encountered in prior purchases with other dealers. I feel that they were more than fair in the price and trade-in negotiations; it was a fair deal--neither the buyer nor the seller felt that they'd been shortchanged. What a delight! On a more personal note, Debbie is a delightful lady, who is friendly, sincere, honest, and trustworthy (I know: sounds kind of like I'm describing a Girl Scout), and it was pleasure working with her; I hope our paths will cross again in the near future.
