I drove more than 1hr and a half to see a vehicle that was supposed to be available since it was supposed to go on auction the next day. After some waiting at the dealership they said the car had been s was supposed to be available since it was supposed to go on auction the next day. After some waiting at the dealership they said the car had been sold, I said that I called them twice to confirm because I don't live nearby and they answered that I should have come earlier in the day. What type of answer is that? And of course, they blame "the people from the internet" because they don't work at the dealership (????) Then, they offered a car that was over $10,000 more. I explained that it was completely out of my budget. They said we could work something, after some waiting they returned with the printed reports from carfax (that I already saw online) so there was no value added on that and the list of all the repairs they made to the car. After that, they said that the price is even HIGHER because from the published price they add a "conditioning fee' of 2000 and other charges for the work made to the car. I didn't ask for them to make those improvements. All that should be included in the published price. I felt like I was being scammed. This is my first time dealing with this type of practice. I lost 3hrs of my time going back and forth for nothing. The next day I read all the complaints in different sites and I realized I should have read that before I contacted Gateway. At least that was the lesson I learned: avoid dealers with shady practices. More

Very upset with the Service Manager Eric Mahan - booked an appointment with a specific female advisor online but was given to another advisor even though she was there. I feel that Toyota Gateway takes ad an appointment with a specific female advisor online but was given to another advisor even though she was there. I feel that Toyota Gateway takes advantage of females that take their cars to be serviced as well as anyone who isn’t knowledgeable about cars. Had to be charged $400 for a tire rotation, a cabin filter change, and a rear gasket change. Absolutely ridiculous - why would anyone bring their Toyota to this dealership that cheats senior citizens and anyone that isn’t a mechanic twice what the normal cost is? Eric is was very rude over the phone and did not understand the meaning of customer service - but this can be expected as he graduated from a community college in AC in culinary arts. Stop taking advantage and overcharging people that do not have ToyotaCare anymore please Gateway Toyota - and they should be told and thoroughly explained that they have to pay out of pocket! More
They sent me two emails over a week apart from each other saying this car is available, but in both cases when I called they said it was sold. This is for the same car- same vin, same cars.com ad. We had a great experience at gateway Toyota, JD Chalifoux was our salesperson. He made the process smooth and enjoyable. We went to take just delivery in the morning 8:45 am on 7th May, Saturday (we booked the on May 2nd, Monday).They had all details for paper work. There were very few people. Still finance department kept us waiting. My husband requested to remove extended insurance, for that small task finance guy took almost an hour. That was too much. We left the dealership around 11:45am, too long for an “in and out.” However, JD Chalifoux was with us, he tried his best so that we don’t get bored. Thank you JD Chalifoux! More
