First of all my back round in classics goes back 40 + yrs. After reviewing pictures and video I relied on my salesman to give me an honest opinion of the car asking in detail for all imperfections. When yrs. After reviewing pictures and video I relied on my salesman to give me an honest opinion of the car asking in detail for all imperfections. When the car arrived I saw a defect in the front bumper that would need to be replaced (chrome wearing off) I called Jad and he admitted that he missed the bumper issue , he said they would not stand behind the issue. I asked to speak to a manager, he gave me Kayla's number. After speaking to her she told me even though Jad admitted to making the mistake and missing an obvious defect they would not cover the cost of a new bumper. When we buy out of state cars we depend on getting an honest report/opinion, in this case no one was held responsible for doing a sub standard job!!! Due to their lack of accountability I will not consider Gateway Classics for future purchase of another classic car!!! Trust is paramount in any long distance car purchase, unfortunately my trust in the salsman Jad Bassi and Kayla as well as Gateway has been lost. Be very careful when considering a purchase from this company, they refuse to stand by their admitted mistakes!! More
Run as fast and as far away from this Place as you can. I called about a corvette that was located in another state and talked to Michael Weitz, a manager. I specifically asked if there were any leaks under I called about a corvette that was located in another state and talked to Michael Weitz, a manager. I specifically asked if there were any leaks under the car and if any warning lights were showing on the dash and Michael answered 'no'. I went on to further ask if the AC worked and was told 'yes' and then asked what the paint looked like. His response was its car-show paint. All his answers were xx. There is an oil leak, transmission leak, AC fan doesn't even blow air and the paint is sub par at best. The last month the car has been in the shop having a rear main seal and transmission leak fixed and fixing three dash lights that stay on all the time. This company is xx and Michael Weitz is a dishonest individual that only cares about the sale. I was told Gateway Classic was a reputable company and put faith in that because I am 550 miles away. I put my faith as a business owner in a so called sales professional. I will never buy again from Gateway Classic. WHAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The car I bought wasn't cheap and I waited till I was 50 to buy my dream car. Maybe Gateway Classic cars should look over a car before you take it on consignment. At the very least be honest with potential buyers who are not able to put their 'hands on' the vehicle and are trusting you to give them truthful, competent answers. The old owner is a piece of work also because they knew what they were selling...an unsafe car! Thanks for being so honest you xxx!!! More

Very Dishonest Gateway Classic Cars Detroit, Where do I start ? Car looked great online and the sales person Tony was responsive. Now the way I see it is, they w Gateway Classic Cars Detroit, Where do I start ? Car looked great online and the sales person Tony was responsive. Now the way I see it is, they will say anything to make the sale. I gave them the Benefit of the doubt and trusted there professionalism. That was my first mistake, the car was misrepresented in so many ways that it’s embarrassing. I was told that this car runs and drives down the road strait and will be very happy with its mechanical condition. Here is the list of issues with the car. 1: Car has no brakes and needs complete rebuild. 2: steering box is completely shot and needs replacement. 3: Front end is so loose that the car is all over the road and will not steer, and is in need of complete rebuild. 4: The car came to me running horrible, after checking the air cleaner, which was missing, The housing had a some sort of rodent nest in it which was being sucked down the carburetor. 5: it took 2 weeks to get a bill of sale from them, very strange since I received the car without ownership papers. These repairs will be very costly and I would not have purchased the car if I was aware of such issues. Yes, I have made a rookie mistake. I trusted Tony and Mike to give me there honest word on the Cars condition and was sucked into the sales pitch. I now own a $18,500 64 ford Galaxie 500 that I can’t drive or repair at this time. I am not saying all there inventory is junk, just saying my purchase was. I am righting this review to possibly help the next person who deals with these gentleman. My recommendations are as follows. If you can afford it, get an independent inspection done on the car. Do not use anyone that they recommend for the inspection. Seek out the best shipping company you can. Pay a little more for your shipping, it will be worth it. These classics are expensive and like most of us, a dream to own. We work very hard for our money. Don’t be fooled by the vehicles outward appearance, dig deep and know the issues. More

I requested additional pictures among other things and they were prompt in response. They worked with the inspector I hired. They took my offers to the owner and help me negotiate a good deal. At shipping time they honored some requests I had before loading and all went smoothly. I recommend these guys strongly. More

Very Responsive and answered all questions I have been enquiring about one of the probably lower priced cars in their inventory but still Tony Saif has taken the time to answer countless emails I have been enquiring about one of the probably lower priced cars in their inventory but still Tony Saif has taken the time to answer countless emails, send additional pictures and has been the ultimate professional. Buying a car from afar is a bit of a stressful and concerning process but Tony has been extremely helpful with the entire process. I have not made my decision on the vehicle yet but so far the customer service is A++. Thanks, Murf More
