Waited 2 and a half hours for a oil change. . no reply after I was told to text if I needed anything. I called Cody to specifically schedule an oil/filter change (basic service) for our company vehicle. In fact, he asked me if anything was wrong with the vehicle and I informed him that there was not and change (basic service) for our company vehicle. In fact, he asked me if anything was wrong with the vehicle and I informed him that there was not and it only needs an oil change. I had one of my employees drop it off since it was already set up. For some reason, a different service advisor named Juan took in the vehicle and presented my employee with the intake paperwork to sign which he did assuming he was just dropping off the vehicle to have services I already set up performed. However, he did not realize that in addition to the oil change, he signed for new wipers and air/cabin filters that had been replaced only 5k miles ago; a complete fuel system cleaning; brake fluid flush and a 4-wheel alignment on a vehicle with only 35k miles on it which drove the $75 oil change to an $894.73 bill. When I called to ask for an explanation, Cody confirmed it was only supposed to be in for an oil change and he was unsure why Juan wrote it up when it was assigned to him and was going to follow up. After a little back and forth to figure out what happened, I simply asked for a couple complimentary oil changes to offset some of the cost of this service because I felt like we had been taken advantage of and I was told to go scratch. This way of doing business resulted in me removing Gateway as a service vendor moving forward. This is how the term "stealership" came into existence. Nice job Gateway! More
