Positive and Transparent I have had terrible experiences interacting with car dealership people. However, interacting with Gates, was one of the best car buying experiences. I was vey apprehensive about signing a lease because I was not sure if the deal I was getting was fair. However, after weeks of interacting with the staff, and having all my many many questions answered multiple times, I feel great about my purchase. As an out of state customer, I will say the state fees in CT are not the best BUT Gates worked around these fees by giving me the best deal for my circumstances and preferences. Overall, I would definitely refer friends to this dealership. More

That was my experience at Gates GMC Buick Nissan in N.Windham. It is a scary feeling to walk into a huge, modern car dealer like Gates especially when you are an old grandma with minimal knowledge about cars. This feeling disappeared when I walked into Gates GMC Buick Nissan. I was treated like a queen by everybody. And I was not buying a high end Corvette but an used med grade car. My sales person was Jarid Leo. Wow! I sit down with him and he studied me like a book by listening carefully and taking notesI I told him exactly what I wanted from my car. After test driving two cars he knew exactly what was the perfect third car he introduced to me. He was right. Jarid made me feel like he was my friend. I never felt hurried or pressed. I was having a good time. Laughing a lot. Jared has a great experience and knowledge about cars and he explained me clearly all the details making sure I had understood . It was obvious that his biggest goal was getting me a car that made me happy. I was also very impressed with the dealer. The whole car sale process was effective and fast. They sure knew what they were doing. A few hours later I drove my dream car home smiling and happy, confident that I made a great purchase. I felt I could trust this dealer. More

SALES PEOPLE JUST DON"T LISTEN PERIOD!!! I TRULY HATE LOOKING FOR A CAR!!! On 4/6/2019. I went to Gates GMC Buick Nissan because I saw an ad for a 2017 Nissan Armada Platinum w/sunroof and no I TRULY HATE LOOKING FOR A CAR!!! On 4/6/2019. I went to Gates GMC Buick Nissan because I saw an ad for a 2017 Nissan Armada Platinum w/sunroof and no Captain chair package and that's exactly is what I'm looking for. However I wasn't happy with the high mileage this particular vehicle had which was 48,000 miles plus. I also told the sales person right from jump street that I HAD my finance available and in place should I decide to buy (I had a down payment in place should I like the deal too). Everything seemed to be going ok but however during my test drive I was asked by the sales person would I be interested in financing through Nissan I turned and looked at the salesperson and incredulously said "NO"!! Why would I want to finance through Nissan when I have my finance ALREADY in place therefore placing another hit to my credit score and they are NOT going to beat my interest rate through my credit union. My financing through Gates is only going benefit Gates and only Gates so again why would I. The car handled to my satisfaction during the test drive as I expected it to. No surprise because I don't get excited unless I'm driving a lambo and as you can probably tell that I've been around the block a few times with buying a car and I'm not about to be taking for a ride. Ok now comes the sit down time when numbers get thrown at you. I offer up my heavily coffee stains in cup holder car/beater which sometimes reeks of fast food for a trade in. Gates didn't want to budge on the price and the highly ridiculous trade in amount they offered me. So I walked. The dealership was clean as was the service area and Jarid Leo the sales person was friendly and likable. Now back to why I'm writing this I thought my contact with them would end after I walked out that bright sunny Saturday morning (it may be the end after this review LOL) On the Monday or Tuesday I'm not sure 4/8/2019 or 4/9/2019 I get a phone call from Jarid stating that he sold that Nissan Armada Platinum I thought.. I guess there's a sucker born every minute. He further stated that there's a Nissan Armada SV for sale there on their lot and that he could add leather seats and sunroof and I could NOT believe the audacity of that claim and to think that will make me happy???!!! (Ummmmm I'm looking for a Platinum package with a sunroof and leather seat with 20" wheels sunroof and a non captain seats in the Armada I desire) They want to put a mickey mouse third party sunroof I want a Platinum package but however instead you're going to offer me a hyped base line Armada SV with a jacked up third party sunroof with leather. Folks do your research too. This is why I HATE LOOKING FOR A CAR!!! AIso SALES PEOPLE JUST DON'T LISTEN Period!!! I'm out!!! More

Great service and fastest buying process Nick was awesome... contacted me shortly after sending request from cars.com. We planned same day test drive and when I pulled on lot car was ready t Nick was awesome... contacted me shortly after sending request from cars.com. We planned same day test drive and when I pulled on lot car was ready to go with tag in window with my name on it. Everyone from the moment walked into the building was very nice and polite and held the door open for me to walk in. Once I met with Nick was very quick let's look at car and test drive it. I was able to take a nice test drive and Nick was able to answer my questions and was not pushy just let me drive the car. I have been to other dealerships and sales guys are pushy and sometimes don't know what they are talking about. After test drive he took me on tour of dealership and introduced me to the service team. Nick restored my faith in traditional dealerships again. It was not as long of a wait as I have had in the passed and they did everything to get me approved which was much appreciated. 10 stars for the staff facilities and qaulity of cars. Here to what I hope will be a long relationship with Gates Nissan. More
