Replaced the brakes in my truck, noticed that they were squeaking right afterwards. When I went in for my next oil change, I asked if they could check them out. The service tech for oil changes told me that it is an issue and I would need to schedule a separate service appointment to have them inspected. So I do, after Gates having my truck all morning, was told by (J.J.) it’s an ongoing issue and just to deal with it. He was more interested in having lunch than taking care of a customer (still have the text). Talked with Jason the service manager about my experience, he reluctantly agreed to replace the pads with NAPA brake pads and also acknowledged the issue. Brought my truck in today to have them installed and was given the cold shoulder by JB. Never said a word other than to answer my question about how long it would take to replace the pads. He told me 2 hours, which is more than ample time. I reached out after 4 hours and no response. It’s been 5 hours and still nothing. Complete lack of communication and professionalism. Needless to say, I will be avoiding this service department in the future. What’s even more disturbing, 4 separate people acknowledged that there’s an issue with the AC Delco brake pads and they continue to sell and install them with the mentality of telling the customer to just deal with it and accept the problem. More

The service department was presented with an unusual problem in that there was a service message that displayed inconsistently. He listened to my assessment of the experiences and provided a possible viable outcome in resolving the issue. More
