I regret having to write a negative review but Gates Auto has left us with no other option. As of right now, we are currently waiting on the owner of Gates Auto to reach out to us and sort this issue out wit has left us with no other option. As of right now, we are currently waiting on the owner of Gates Auto to reach out to us and sort this issue out with us directly before we pursue other options. We feel misguided and the vehicle sold to us was misrepresented. For reference, we purchased a used vehicle 6-months ago at Gates Auto and have driven it roughly 3,000 miles at present. The vehicle had a little over 75,000 miles on it at the time of purchase. We have had nothing but issue after issue with this vehicle since the date of purchase. - The exhaust needed to be replaced due to the cabin smelling like exhaust fumes the EXACT same night we drove it home (obviously not caught at the "inspection") This repair alone took 4-weeks and there was no communication at all. We were given the run-around. - Tires (which we were told were NEW at the time of purchase and have VISIBLE DRY ROT) were not installed or sealed correctly which led to air consistently leaking out of the tire and the tire light always being on. Gates Auto placed the blame on us and gave us a hard time about it. - Horn did not work - Needed a new starter (they gave us a hard time about this as well even though we purchased a warranty on this vehicle) - Window issues (we have not scheduled this repair service as we have brought it in SO many times and it's just sickening at this point) Currently, this vehicle is again DISABLED and undriveable in its current condition. It is sitting at another dealership that we trust waiting to be fixed AGAIN after needing to be towed there due to "low oil pressure" and the vehicle being completely disabled. Please keep in mind that all of this is within a 6-month period of time after being purchased from Gates Auto. We didn't even have it for 1-month of that either. We also have not driven the vehicle an exorbitant number of miles since the date of purchase. It typically travels to and from work most days which is roughly about 15 miles per day during the average work week. Gates Auto has completely lost our trust and we couldn't be more disappointed in their customer service. One of their female representatives hung up on my husband yesterday after he was pleading with them to do something for us given our situation and how awful this whole experience has been for us. It's upsetting and very unsettling for a business to treat its customers with such disrespect. When we came in, they told us how they didn't like how other dealerships were ran or how they did things, so that's how Gates Auto came to fruition. Unfortunately, they are not living up to their "motto" or word. Please consider your options heavily elsewhere before you purchase a vehicle from Gates Auto. More
