Gary Smith Honda responded

Customer purchased a 1998 Honda Accord for $3500 that was Deemed "Wholesale to the Public" and signed multiple documents acknowledging the vehicle was "Wholesale to the Public" and that the purchase was "AS-IS." Gary Smith Honda offered them the opportunity to trade the vehicle in for another vehicle at the purchase price they paid over a year ago! We believe this was a very fair offer and it seemed as the customer thought so too as they agreed, however sometime over the past 4 weeks they have decided on a different tactic of attempting to "Extort" money out of us or they would ruin our reputation by posting bad reviews online would be a better route for them to go. Gary Smith Honda stands behind every vehicle we sell, we keep certain vehicles for sale that are 'Wholesale to the Public" for cheap cash cars and customers purchase them at their own risk which is fully explained to them during the process even to the extent that they sign at least 3 documents that clearly explain that they are "AS-IS" "Wholesale to the Public" and the dealership takes no responsibility for anything that may go wrong after the vehicle leaves the lot. We also don't respond to attempts to hold us hostage. Thank You- Travis Smith General Manager
