I bought a car from Mark last week. What a GREAT salesman! He was very friendly and helpful in helping us pick out the perfect car! I will recommend him to anyone I know who is interested in buying! The sales manager Shane was also great in helping us get to the numbers the we wanted and that fit perfectly in our budget! And Matt in finance was also great In getting us a warranty but still keeping the payments at what we could afford. We are extremely happy with our purchase! However, the reason I gave the "friendliness" a 3 was because when I initially walked in looking for a car I went over to the young lady sitting under the Used Car Manager sign and was asking a few generic questions. She couldn't even look up from her you tube video to help me. Without even looking at me she said "you need to wait for a sales man" I was APPAULED that a "manager" would act like that!!! She had another girl at her desk and while I was looking at one of the cars in the show room the conversation that they were having was definitely NOT appropriate nor one a "manager" should be having. I have bought a couple cars from Garvey and have always had great service and until now have never had a negative thing. Whoever promoted her to a "manager" must have been sick that day, by far one of the worst calls to be made in that dealership. Apparently her YouTube video and Facebook page are more important than customer service. More

Don was the finance person and regardless of what I could afford had her come back with ridiculous offers. I told her I would not pay the price of a mortgage for a car. I was told they'd do their best & call me that afternoon or by 10:30 am next morning. 11:00 am & no call. I CALLED Them & reminded them IT WAS Saturday & I had no vehicle for Monday. I OFFERED MORE MONEY DOWN & raised my monthly limit to $350. AT 3:30 pm Sunday I get a call from Don saying good news! I can put you in a brand new car for $1500 down & $428 a month. WTH??? THANKS FOR WASTING MY WEEKEND. CLEAN OUT YOUR EARS. I went to Whiteman Chevrolet, got a lot more for my trade in, put a lot less DOWN, financed on my own, got a $1500 rebate & a monthly payment I could afford in ONE AFTERNOON. THANK YOU DEN!! You saved me! We have purchased two vehicles from Whiteman & about to make it 3 in our family. More

I purchased a new vehicle in 2004 with Jesse Maiolo. Since that wonderful experience, I knew I would never go to another dealer nor work with any other salesman. This past January, I had the unfortunate experience to be rear-ended and my Santa Fe was totalled. I called Jesse immediately and left a message with exactly what I wanted my next vehicle to contain. Within 15 minutes, Jesse called me back with a description of my new 2011 Santa Fe which was exactly what I wanted. I test drove her and put a payment down that night! Jesse continued to meet my expectations thoughout the entire process turning a very sad incident into the best thing that could have happened! I have always and will always continue to recommend him. I must add, too, that the service at Garvey's is second to none! Lastly, I should tell you that I have named her "Jessica"! More
Our daughter recently bought a used Hyundai from a used car dealer in Vermont knowing that it needed 'some repairs.' We brought the car to Garvey for the repairs. After diagnosis, we found out that the pr car dealer in Vermont knowing that it needed 'some repairs.' We brought the car to Garvey for the repairs. After diagnosis, we found out that the problem was not at all what she had been told. Although much more expensive, she had no choice so repairs were begun. Then, they found an unrelated problem that we were unaware of which rendered the car too unsafe to pass inspection. They immediately stopped working on the car and contacted us. We found out that all the repairs would cost more than the car was worth and more than we could afford. Ultimately, this meant that the car was not worth repairing and our daughter lost everything. She was left with no money and a useless car. However, Garvey was willing to give us more than a fair trade in value for that car to put toward one of their used cars. In the end they were able to get us into one of their quality used cars for monthly payments that we could all live with. We cannot express enough appreciation and gratitude for what they did for us. Garvey went above and beyond what we ever imagined a dealership would do to help us out of our seemingly hopeless situation. The outcome of this experience will definitely have us coming back to them in the future when we need another vehicle. Garvey gets our highest recommendation as a quality, caring dealership to deal with. More
I have owned a 2011 Equus for 18 months. Rear seat burlwood console was scratched up, my fault, not the manufacturer. Scott and Marc convinced Hyundai to replace it under warranty. I had done a lot of reading on the Elantra GT and Bill kept me up to date on it's arrival. He fully explained functions, features and benefits of the Hyundais in general and Elantras in particular. Janet and Mr Garvey I just wanted to share with you that Janet and I are currently buying our 5th car from Garvey’s Hyundai (2009 Azera). Janet and I have been kicking around buying a new car, we thought about the new Elantra, or Sonata, but then decided because of the comfort of the ride that we have gotten with our 2006 Azera that we really needed to stay with the Azera. I really wanted to purchase a 2011 Azera, and dragged my wife all over VT and NY looking at them. The problem we ran into was the Janet really wanted Black on Black, but Hyundai made them with the White stitching in the seats which in our opinion makes the car look cheap. We looked at the Pearl white one that you guys had for a long time but by the time we made a decision it was sold. We started kicking around the idea of waiting for the redesigned 2012 Azera, but finally decided that we liked the comfort of the seats in the current Azera and didn’t want to take the chance of the 2012 seats not being as comfortable. We have stopped by many times bugging Joe Taylor and Rob and nothing was really shaking loose only because of lack of Azeras coming in. On one of these stops Joe asked about looking at the 2009 Azera, Janet was interested but I put my nose in the air as I thought we should get 2011. After looking at the 2009 and thinking about it some more we came in on Labor Day and had Rob give us some numbers and I told Rob I needed to go home and think about it. I went home and did a bunch of research on the computer checking out all Hyundai Certified Azeras within 300 miles of Poultney. I found a light blue 2009 Azera Limited with 10,000 miles in Little Falls NJ for $18,500 (240 miles from Poultney). This car was $2500 less than your GLS and had memory seats/mirrors and navigation system everything we wanted. I drove down there and looked at the car, it was at Rt 46 Dodge in Little Falls. When I got there I went and looked at the car spoke with the Salesman that was assigned to me, he had no idea who I was or that I was coming, much less what I was interested in, even though I had emailed and called prior to going down there and was told who my salesman was going to be. I came home and sent Joe an email with some concerns and things that I wanted and I made it clear that we were ready to do something if my concerns were met. Joe got my email addressed my concerns with Rob and Don and called me within an hour of him getting my email and had the answers to my issues. Both Rob and Don listened to Joe and all three worked to make both Janet and I feel that our concerns were important and more importantly that our business was important even though it was a used car and not a new car. Don found us a financing program that was ½% lower then what he originally quoted me and made sure that I had the extended warranty that I wanted and not what he originally quoted me on. I wanted mud flaps and wind deflector for our car that we were purchasing and I had done research on the computer on the Garvey on line shop and knew what the items cost. When I asked about the parts I was told that I would have to go home and order the parts on line to get that price posted and have the parts shipped to Garvey’s for installation. I was somewhat frustrated initially but have been in the Army long enough (39+ years) to know that sometimes you just have to do things the way they tell you to get them done. As I was finalizing my conversation with Joe, the lady from parts that I had been talking to (don’t know her name) came and told me that Marvin said Welcome to Garvey and he took care of ordering the parts and gave me the on line price. The last two people I wanted to mention are Fred Cooper and Scott Robinson. Both individual have been great to Janet and I. Scott does a great job of explain to us what the issue is with our car and following up with us when parts have come in to finish the repair. I’ve talked to Fred a couple of times about things that I felt needed to be dealt with at his level and he has always listen to my concern and then has told me what he could or could not do out straight which I appreciate. All of the above people and what they have done for us are why we continue to buy from Garvey Hyundai and why I didn’t buy the car from NJ with less mileage and a cheaper price. Janet feels comfortable talking with Joe and Scott and trust what they say to her. There are a lot of dealerships where this doesn’t happen. We appreciate all that your people do for us and I wanted you to hear the good things your people are doing. Many times we are quick to say the bad things but slower to say the good things. Janet and I feel that we can always recommend Garvey’s and Joe Taylor and never feel like it will bite us. We appreciate feeling like part of a family when dealing with all the people that I have mentioned above. Thanks to you and your staff for another great buying and owning experience.
