Today I picked up my Palisade from Garvey and and I was amazed how wonderful they were from the day I I went to look at the car until pick up today. Scott Crossett my sales consultant was so friendly, knowledge of the vehicle and overall fantastic to work with. He took his time to go over all of the features of the vehicle. Helped with the download of the app and getting that set up. We could not believe how much they search for the deals Hyundai was offering and making sure we got the best deal of the day. Chuck Lipke was helpful in explaining some add ons but was not aggressive with it at all. Our overall experience was so positive and I would suggest to anyone to check them out if they are looking for a car. Thank you Garvey for the stress free buying of my vehicle and the amazing team you have at your dealership. More

I recently had the pleasure of purchasing a car from Garvey Hyundai Plattsburgh and I can not recommend them enough! Jon Munnik was an absolute pleasure to work with from the moment we stepped in the door and is still helping me learn all the ins and outs of my new Tucson. He was so incredibly friendly, genuine, and made sure I was very informed of my options. Certainly not the typical car salesman. I didn't once feel pressured or oversold on anything. The car I went in to look at was great, but not right for me and they knew that and offered a CHEAPER vehicle to fit my needs, what dealership does that? Again I repete this was an honest friend looking out for my best interest. I was very informed every step of the way. I would also like to say the same for Chuck in finance. He also went way above and beyond to get us the best deal. He spent a lot of time and effort to help me get the payment I needed, I know and truly appreciate how hard he really fought for me! This dealership really wants to make the customer 100 % satisfied! It can be intimating trying to buy a new car and I went in ready and quickly found out the whole team had my back. If you are looking just please go in and at least have a conversation. More
First and foremost. .. I cannot thank the team at Garvey Hyundai North for such a smooth, easy, and stress-free buying experience! A little background: I hadn't purcha .. I cannot thank the team at Garvey Hyundai North for such a smooth, easy, and stress-free buying experience! A little background: I hadn't purchased a new vehicle in nearly TWENTY years (Thanksgiving 2024 would be 20, to be exact). I'd been watching the Hyundai Kona Iron Man Edition (Ultimate) since 2019 when it was first on the market as a new vehicle. Fast forward to about two weeks ago, while I was browsing cars (as my previously perfectly good vehicle is no longer perfect or good), and I searched the entire U.S. for a used Iron Man Kona. I compared the available cars, looked at the mileage, distance from me, and pricing... And came across Garvey Hyundai North. After sending a message via the Internet, I received a phone call from Scott Crossett the next day (in his defense, I had sent the message on a Sunday when the dealership was closed). He was very professional and patient with my questions about the vehicle. I completed a loan application with my credit union that same evening, because I knew I would be buying this car. A few days later, Chris Allen called and introduced himself as a sales manager for Garvey, and inquired whether I was still interested. He was very personable, and we even laughed over the biggest controversy in NJ history... Pork Roll vs. Taylor Ham (for the record, it's Pork Roll). I felt confident that they wouldn't sell the car "out from under" me. The next day, I got a call from the credit union, and was informed that I was approved, but that there would need to be some adjustment to the details of the sale. After talking to Scott, he picked up and dealt directly with the credit union. By that evening, we had all the details ironed out, the necessary financial paperwork completed, and a plan for me to travel to Plattsburgh to inspect and complete the purchase of my new (used) car. The following weekend, I took a train to Plattsburgh, NY from Hamilton, NJ (approximately 10 hours), and spent the night in a hotel. The next morning, Scott pulled up to the hotel at 0900 on the dot (as we'd agreed), and drove me to Garvey. The conversation was easy and fun, and I didn't feel any pressure or unease whatsoever. As a woman, I am always leery of dealing with anything car-related, whether it be maintenance or a purchase. I'm relatively savvy when it comes to autos and highly savvy when it comes to technology, but there are always a few who try to take advantage, thinking the "fairer" of our species are naive. Not at Garvey. When we arrived at the dealership, I took the Kona for a test drive. As I had previously requested, I was able to see the live OBDII scan results, check the undercarriage, check the oil, do a full walk-around and see any cosmetic issues (there wasn't anything major), etc. There was nothing but complete transparency from them. Once we sat down to go over any coverage and warranty add-ons, Chuck Lipke was friendly and non-aggressive. He was helpful and knowledgeable on what was offered, and I was able to decide on what I wanted - not what anyone was trying to sell me - all while I cuddled his sweet pup Sadie in my lap. (No offense guys... You're all fantastic, but Sadie really is the best!) All in all, I was in and out of the dealership in about three hours, and it didn't even feel like it took that long. The Garvey team made me feel at home and went out of their way to ensure I left a happy customer. The ride home was long... About 6 1/2 hours. But the car was unbelievably comfortable, fun to drive, and even though I was tired at the end of the day, I didn't feel like I'd been on the road for that long. Bonus? I only had to fill my tank ONCE, and even with NY rest stop prices being what they are, it only cost me $40! When I got home, I had an e-mail from Scott telling me he hoped I had a good ride home, and that he appreciates my business. It's nice to know that Scott and the rest of the crew at Garvey genuinely care about their customers! More
