Lack of communication between departments made me wait for over an hour to finish the paper work so I could drive off with my new vehicle. Other than that, everyone was friendly and very nice. The vehicle is great but there are a few problems for someone who drove a Blazer for twelve years. No storage between the front seats and the brights do not stay on. I drive many dark two lane roads for my job and brights that stay on would help me avoid hitting a deer or driving off the road. More
My experience with garden state honda , Clifton was horrible. Once they sell you the car they do not care what happens after that. I got an insurance with them because the person said that the bank wou horrible. Once they sell you the car they do not care what happens after that. I got an insurance with them because the person said that the bank would finance me with a particular interest rate only if that was taken and I could cancel it at any time with a refund. So I took it and then after a year I got an appointment for getting it cancelled. Although I got an appointment, I was left to wait for an hour before I could meet Ali and after I got tro meet him he said they were out of cancellation forms and I had to come back the next day. Then the next day I got the cancellation form signed and formalities completed and was promised that I would receive my refund within 1.5 months. This was all 9 months back and I am still waiting for the refund. Chase says they have'nt received the refund form and wouldn't consider taking a copy of that form from me and everytime I call Ali he is busy with a costumer...and if at all I get to him he always says he will follow up and give me a call...it never happens. I have left him messages with the secratary, the voice mail machine, gone there personally to meet him ...but always he manages to evade that. I will never even consider buying from this dealership again and I would never recommend it to anyone. It was and still is a horrible experience. More
If you can find another Honda dealer in the area I advise do so. My experience with them was not so good. After they closed the deal with me, didn’t care about my request to cancel GAP insurance and Honda Ca do so. My experience with them was not so good. After they closed the deal with me, didn’t care about my request to cancel GAP insurance and Honda Care, although the Garden State Honda financial agent did completed the form for me, here I am 5 months later and both Gap and Honda Care are still active, I had to call Honda Customer care and my Financial Institution to figure out what is to do. I had absolutely no help from dealer side. Good luck! More

Gerry, the General Manager, Dave Russo, my sales person, and Ali in Accounting were each very friendly, helpful, and accommodating with a low pressure, relaxed sales approach. These guys are xxxxx. They got an advance down payment from me and when I went in to buy the car the next day they said that I need to purchase an insurance program from them or otherwise I wouldn't get a from me and when I went in to buy the car the next day they said that I need to purchase an insurance program from them or otherwise I wouldn't get a loan. They made me pay $3000 for that insurance for 3 years and said that the unused part is refundable anytime. Now I have completed my car payments in a year and applied for a refund of the unused part, but they wont do it. They made me wait for 2 hours in the office and then asked me come again. The next time they made me wait another couple of hours all to just have a couple of forms filled out. Now it has been more than 3 months since I applied for the refund and they still haven't refunded and they wont even return my phone calls. This is plain right stealing money. Wonder why Honda even allows them to have a dealership. Be careful when you deal with them. They are simply thieves. More
