I was in for a very pleasant surprise, as the employees employed at the dealership are the most courteous, knowledgeable and professionals I have encountered in a long time. Let me share my wonderful experience about two awesome individuals, Henry Villafuerte and Eddie Pinero whom I call the dynamic duo. Henry was patient in answering my questions, and took time in explaining how the function of key-less ignition. Most important, I was treated as a valued customer and not haggled to make a purchase. After taking a test drive I made my decision to purchase the Blue Flex 2015 CX5. What I experienced at Garden City Mazda is far beyond my expectations. While sitting at Henry's desk, it was amazing to observe the other professionals while they worked. Thank you Henry! After my information was given to Henry, I was introduced to the finance manager Eddie, who walked me thru the details of the the retail contract. He then explained line by line and great detail the most important areas of the contract. His knowledge, is amazing as he made sure I understood pertinent areas. Thank you Eddie! This experience is so memorable I look forward to my next visit. Thanks to the management and staff at Garden City Mazda for having the passion for what you do. Luis Espinal, our sales person, was the ultimate consummate professional on all levels. He was very knowledgeable about the Mazda CX5 Touring Model car that we leased, and gave us the most thorough demo and walk-thru of all features in the car. I will definitely be returning to lease another Mazda again in the very near future by all means! More

From the minute I walked it, the sales advisor, Steve Locicero was eager to help me find the right car at the right price as well as give me an excellent amount for my trade in. He also legitimately found ways to discount the overall price of the vehicle and was very knowledgeable of the Mazda fleet. He made my wife and I comfortable and at ease, and best of all, there were NO GAMES at this dealership. I had my heart set on a black-on-black, fully-loaded Mazda 6 Touring and he worked beautifully with my wife and I to ensure I would get it. Also, due to his hard work, we were able to leave the dealership with my new car that night! I also want to say working with their finance manager, Eddie Pinero, was a pleasure. Again, he was respectful, straight-up, accommodating, and knowledgeable, and got us a great financing rate for this beautiful, new car. Furthermore, their sales manager, Francisco Espinal was a gentleman who was excited and super professional and made sure he went over all the features of the car with us. I genuinely felt like the people working at the dealership care about their customers and want to do right by them. Believe it or not, an amazing experience - Garden City Mazda Dear reader, The information written below is unsolicited and non compensated about purchasing an automobile at Garden City Mazda, will most likely Dear reader, The information written below is unsolicited and non compensated about purchasing an automobile at Garden City Mazda, will most likely elicit feelings and/or thoughts of disbelief, voodoo, fiction, bribery, horror, lies, etc.; Normally those comments would be a sign of the reader's good judgement. However, in this particular instance, the experience at Garden City Mazda was genuinly interesting, fun, and elucidating. After doing considerable research via reading, asking other drivers, visiting and driving various brand dealerships, for the purpose of purchasing and adding a new vehicle, my wife and I had many factors to consider, e.g. Initial outlay of money, cost of ownership, quality, reliability and features of the vehicle, etc. Brands considered included: Subaru, Toyota, Nissan, Lexus, Mercedes. Acura, GM, Ford/Lincoln, VW, Audi - a wide range of brands, expenditures, and features. Basically, we knew that we wanted an all wheel drive wagon/ suv type vehicle. Over the last 20 years we were partial to the Subaru brand. Suffice it to say the cost of the vehicle we were interested rose a great amount. Other cars and brands for one or many reasons did not address our requirements. Lastly, after a fairly lengthy period of time, we found ourselves at our closest Mazda dealership on a Sunday. The showroom is technically in Hempstead and borders Garden City, and is located among various other dealerships. The showroom would not win any architectural or design awards. However, the showroom, including rest rooms was clean, and the cars glistened. Admittedly, we had to wait awhile for a salesperson though many employees appeared to flitter about and a few other clients were present. Initially we made contact with a novice employee who kindly answered some questions about the car we seemed to focus on ( a CX 5), and attempted to secure a salesperson for us. With no luck he directed us to a managerial desk on the upper level, and the person who spoke with us indicated he would assign someone to us momentarily. After approximately five minutes we were introduced to Luis Espinal. Luis, and other members of his family also worked at the dealership. His mention of that was consistent with sharing knowledge of Mazda cars and other brands associated with this dealership and others in the group. He did not disparage any other brands as he disclosed he holds master training in other brands such as Subrau. Luis, while a salesperson, was genuinely motivated and interested in sharing his knowledge with us about cars and also his background in a very friendly, patient, and clearly instructive manner. Luis listened carefully, asked us questions and opinions as we did him), did not exert any pressure, and expended a god amount of time with us. To say the least, while Luis is after all a sales agent, we truly enjoyed spending time with him at all points prior to the sale, during negotiations, (where some haggling took place, including the need to remind him and the dealership that they are in business to make money and not to give the car for below cost). Ultimately we came to a mutually agreeable and reasonable price; truly "win -win". I am not a big fan of dealing with the financing/options department , but we knew we wanted to take an extended warranty and no other added items. Of course, we most likely had other options to purchase an outside brand warranty e.g. AAA), some people may call us "suckers," but we have always been remarkably loyal to the people we do business with and expect the same from them. That's why we purchased the warranty from GC Mazda, negotiating with Anthony Antonetti. To be frank, I am uncertain as to how much better we could have done price wise, but Anthony warmed up to us as we did to him, evidenced in his offering several oil change services gratis, lowering the ultimate price to a fair level, and lastly sharing some of his and the dealership's charitable works, which for us was of great interest. Next day, at the time of pickup, Luis spent a long time painstakingly teaching us about using the various features of the car, including set up of phones, navigation and radio presets. Professors or instructors at any level could learn much from his teaching methods, Luis also took time to introduce us to the customer service service staff. Writing this review two days after receiving, driving and truly enjoying the car (some generally small quibbles do exist of course, e.g. placement of the clock), we are also aware that we are also in the "honeymoon phase," meaning our current thoughts and feelings could change as could the review. Things can change.Nonetheless, the current review reflects our experience with Mazda and the Garden City Mazda dealership. Good luck on your adventure purchasing a vehicle. Do your research - both fact opinion based, and always keep a reasonable skepticism. Use your life experience and knowledge, ask questions, and give your gut some credence too. More

I had gone there after having negative experiences at several other dealerships where I was treated as if I was not serious about buying a car. I had done my research and was ready to buy. That is exactly how Luis treated me. He took the time to explain everything and seemed very knowledgeable about the Mazda CX-9, the used vehicle I ended up purchasing. The reason why I say that Luis Espinal went above and beyond is that my sister's car battery died while she was waiting for me in the parking lot. I let Raydenisse Pujols know and she went to get Luis my sales person. Mr. Espinal, without hesitation grabbed jumper cables and pulled up his own car to give my sister's battery a jump. Now that's what I call excellent service! I also had a great experience with Anthony Antonetti, who took care of the finances and was very respectful as he handled my documents. I give this dealership top ratings and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to buy a new or used vehicle. I love my new car! More
best mazda CX 5 deal in tri state area family needed a car, after compare the nissan rouge, toyota rav 4, Subaru forester, and mazda cx5. we decided to go with mazda. i have got two price q family needed a car, after compare the nissan rouge, toyota rav 4, Subaru forester, and mazda cx5. we decided to go with mazda. i have got two price quote from 2 dealership, one is in NY and another one is in NJ. garden city mazda beat their price on the phone! then i went down to the dealer ship, and they were true to their words, i guess not easy for any car dealership! and we closed the deal as we have agreed on the phone! they were so friendly and professional! i cannot thank enough for all the help i got from one of their best salesman, William Smalls. he was so patient, and with passion helped me out with each step that involved in buying and taking delivery of that cx5. special thanks to the finance manager Anthony, he worked with bank for more than 2 hours to get the best interest rate possible for us. once again thank you garden city mazda, and everyone who works there. ^_^ More
Worse than one star Not worth 1-star. I responded by phone to an ad for a 2008 SAAB. They took a $500 deposit to hold the car for two days. One day later they called to Not worth 1-star. One day later they called to tell me "how honest they are" and they found the car was junk and not for sale anymore, Carfax says they sold the car the next day to someone in Cortlandt Manor NY. For 2-weeks they said they were trying to fix the car for me, but I was not allowed to see it. Later when I called to chase down my $500 deposit they said the car was now at Southern Auto Auction. Spoke with Jeff at SAA who never had any record of that VIN. The sale manager was telling me one thing, but the facts state different. They got caught broking a contract. More

Henry quickly disclosed all of the current dealer incentives related to the Mazda CX-5 I was interested in purchasing. Having done research on pricing, I made an offer to Mr. Villafuerte and he worked with his finance manager in meeting that price as best he could. Within an hour, I had purchased a new car. Upon delivery, the financing and paperwork was thoroughly discussed and quickly completed. Afterwards, Henry took my wife and I through every feature of the car. Even though it was Labor day weekend, and he was extremely busy, he never rushed us through the process and took pride in his exceptional customer service. I was completely satisfied with the experience, made pleasurable by Mr. Villfuerte's personable and caring approach. I will definitely recommend Mr. Villafuerte and Garden City Mazda to anyone interested in purchasing a Mazda. Just a Great Experience. Thank You Mr. Villafuerte!!! More

When I first came to visit Garden City Mazda though, that's what I was promised, and Phil delivered. I initially came in to just test drive the Mazda 6. It was an hour before closing but Phil insisted he had plenty of time and took me out. He then asked if I wanted to go over some numbers or if I wanted to do some price comparisons first and then come back. No pressuring, no sales pitch, just genuine hope that I enjoyed the Mazda6's ride. I told him I'd come back, so he told me to come back to him in 2 weeks, after I got some quotes together, and in time for the Labor Day sales. So I did my homework and pulled together a few quotes from dealerships in the tristate area and went back to him. He took a look at the numbers, contacted Michael, and they both came back with their best offer. Again, no pressuring to sign a deal that day, both he and Michael encouraged me to walk and visit the other dealerships if I thought I could get a better offer than the ones they were putting down. I knew already that this was the best offer I'd get based on the conversations I had already had with other dealerships, and so I shook hands with both of them. Total time of negotiations - less than 5 minutes. They promised quick and painless, and I got quick and painless. The finance manager, Eddie, was also the same. A quick run through of the extended warranty options, no sales pitch, just pure facts and all I had to say was no thank you after considering the options and price. We finished the paperwork in 10 minutes (lots of signatures!). Phil then took the time to show me every nook and cranny of my new Mazda, and I drove out an hour later an extremely satisfied customer. I highly recommend Phil, Michael, and Eddie to any prospective Mazda buyer. Their no-xx attitude is extremely refreshing and was more than welcome! - DL More
