Recently I came in to see what kind of deal Garber would offer me on my 'slightly damaged' 2008 Accord. Harvey Assael was very helpful and accommondating in all aspects of of the deal/sales process. After a week of owning my new car, American Honda called me for a 'brief' survey on my experience. It seems that the caller misunderstood (or heard what he wanted to hear) the answer to the question about the salespersons knowledge of the model of Honda that I purchased. Although Harvey has been with this dealership since before Garber took it over, it was stated that the salesperson was 'new'. The correct reply to the question was that the car model was new (2013 Honda Accord Coupe), and that the staff at Garber as a whole were all STILL slightly unfamiliar with all the features. This was true for ALL the staff I had interacted with, not just Harvey, and that included members of the Service Department as well. Considering that the Accord Coupe is not a 'big' seller in our area, I can state that each and everyone at the dealership I spoke with was honest and upfront.....that the Coupe was basically redesigned and many 'new' features were added (some that were optional on prior models were now standard) and that as of yet, they as a whole, were still not totally familiar with everything the car had to offer me. This in no way had any negative bearing on my decision to purchase this vehicle. Having been a customer since 2004, and being familiar with a number of the staff, I can say that everyone that I have dealt with, from the time it was known as John Holtz Honda until the transition to Garber Honda, has been very professional, very helpful, and in most cases very knowledgeable. In the case of Harvey Assael, he was an exceptionally helpful salesperson from the start of my purchase through the end. If anything needs to be reassessed, in my opinion it has to be the person that did the survey, not the members of Garber Honda. More
This is my first vehicle under the Garber name. I found the experience to be very pleasant and accommodating by Garber personnel. Geoff was our assigned salesman. We could not have been happier! He was fabulous to work with. We made a couple trips back and each time Geoff greeted us upon arrival with a smile. There were times when he was busy with other customers but he always said hi and then had Rick, a manager, help us until he was available. Geoff was the singe handidly the reason we leased from Garber. He clearly knew what he was talking about with the car but was not pushy. I absolutely love my CR-V and plan to be a Garber Honda customer for awhile. More

Nearing the end of the lease on my Honda Civic I called Garber. They gave me information on my options and I made an appointment to go in to talk. They were very helpful and 24 hours later I am driving my Garber. They gave me information on my options and I made an appointment to go in to talk. Well, as always, it was great. I just wanted to especially mention Josh...........he went beyond my expectation to not only point out that my speedometer would not read correctly with the smaller snow tires, he also took the initiative to do the research to tell me what the correction factor would be......that’s caring about the customer! We have dealt with Harvey Assael 3 times over the past 9 years and each time he has been pleasant, patient, answered all our questions to our satisfaction and efficient and knowledgeable about the automobil years and each time he has been pleasant, patient, answered all our questions to our satisfaction and efficient and knowledgeable about the automobile we purchased. They had great customer service. Had wayne go back three times to get better deals from his boss. I got it for less than dealer invoice. Wayne is straight up. After agreeing to a price Wayne showed me around and explained how their new service center is going to look like. Very well layed out. Free soda, tv and magazines. Even a kids playground is inside. Looking to go in for service when its due. They even had me come back to sign the GAP. I heard places like simmons rockwell try to sneak that by you and dont want you to sign it because it hurts the dealership/manufacturer if you total the car. But they called me in to have the GAP signed. They had the vehicle I wanted and its interior and drove off three days later. No pressure sale. More
