Highly frustrated customer There are some good people that work and have worked at Christenson, but my experience with the service department was horrible. They replaced my tim There are some good people that work and have worked at Christenson, but my experience with the service department was horrible. They replaced my timing chain at 65,000 miles on a 2010 Traverse in July 2016. Then 2.5 years later my check engine light is giving a code that the timing chain needs to be replaced again – 23,000 miles after it was first replaced. That in itself is absolutely ridiculous, and then for the service manager Gary to only offer to take a couple hundred dollars off the $3000 repair is a joke. After reaching out to Dean Christenson (who couldn’t make the effort to contact me back), he has Gary call me back to increase the discount to $500. When a major part goes out that soon, you have to be able to offer more than 16% off the repair. When someone is keeping up with the maintenance of their car, especially oil changes, there is no way a timing chain should go out at 65,000 miles, and then again as Christenon’s fine job replacing that timing chain goes out at 23,000 miles (how do I know that the replacement chain was even a new part?). All they want to do is pad their bottom line and not take care of a customer. I’m sure there are other dealerships that are not customer-oriented, but I will definitely take my chances elsewhere. Deal with Christenson at your own risk. More

Practice makes perfect I brought my Service van in on a Saturday afternoon after it was broken into explaining I needed new door locks and passenger glasses I was given th I brought my Service van in on a Saturday afternoon after it was broken into explaining I needed new door locks and passenger glasses I was given the impression that it would be done hopefully Monday I also wanted them to check the front brakes my steering wheel was shaking when I was breaking I told them I think the rotors are out of round only 30,000 miles on van My update on Monday was the glass was put in that’s it the door locks were all the way in Chicago that’s where I work it’s not very far this is a fleet maintenance program the service tech was off the next day Tuesday she had to call in to them for allok on repairs that means nothing got done on Tuesday Wednesday I get a call and and I was told the brakes were fine the tires we’re under inflated and wore out in the front this vin just had an oil change and they were checked they were fine the maintenance program was called and they okayed new tires thousand dollars I pick the van up Wednesday night at the last minute because that’s when they finished it I also had warning lights on now for my tires because they couldn’t reset because I have an aftermarket key fob. it also had a front endalignment it pulled to the right all the way home the next day I drove it to work The steering wheel now was shaking so bad I almost had to turn around and go home so I had to go slow as I could to get it to work I dropped the van off on the way home from work and they worked on it again they found out the new tires that I didn’t need were balanced Wrong all it needed was the rotors turned which is what they did like I told them when I brought it in they realigned the front in and this time reset the tire warning light on the dash The brand new tires or missing valve stem caps in the side door they worked on the panel on the door handle was laying on the floor inside the van The second time I picked it up it runs great now she said they have a Rookie techwork on it the first time the second time was done by an experienced tech More
