Service writer was downright rude Brought in our V90 CC for a mystery sound on the interior and also to ask about adjusting the driver door handle. I told the service writer that it was taking a lot of force for me to open the door. He then proceeded to open the door with ease (and make a show of it just to emphasize) with a look on his face that said “What are you talking about?” And then I stated it could not be adjusted. (Wrong.) When the mystery sound turned out to be a loose pen on the floor underneath the driver seat, I was practically scolded over the phone. “It’s a good thing we didn’t have to pull up the carpeting or you would have been charged,” the same guy said. Never have I been treated in such a misogynistic, condescending manner. I told Galpin management (via a survey they sent after) and I got no response. More

The service department handed me a phone number to Volvo corporate so I suppose that was helpful. My wife drives a 2010 XC90. It is in the garage half of the time and only has 82,000 miles on it. I recently noticed that the weather stripping at the bottom of the windows on the exterior of the car was deteriorating, quite literally melting into this black goo that gets on everything if you touch it. Now i have a 99 C70 that has parked outside in the sun for the last 15 years and no problem there. Must be a defective batch of stripping right? Well according to Volvo its apologies only because the car is out of warranty so I guess we should not expect our Volvos to make it to 7 years/100,000 miles any longer. Sad that Volvo will not stand behind their product. Cancelling my overseas delivery of my wife's new XC90. Super bummed because it is a great looking car but I guess its all looks. More
Customer Service is king! Once again, I had a wonderful experience at Galpin Volvo. My check engine light came on on a Friday night and I was scheduled to leave on a road trip Once again, I had a wonderful experience at Galpin Volvo. My check engine light came on on a Friday night and I was scheduled to leave on a road trip Monday morning - panic! My usual service guy was not in, so Jack S. in service kindly helped me. He allowed me to come on Saturday morning, during their very busy time, and even gave me a nice loaner car because he wasn't sure how long it would take. He helped me transfer things to the new car and even provided free drinks for the kids with me. The car ended up being ready the same day and he helped arrange a pickup time that was convenient for me. He and the team made it so easy. Every time I have contact with Galpin Volvo, it makes me so grateful I decided to get a car from them. Always top-notch service. Always. More

They explained my options since my vehicle is so old and scheduled a diagnostic test. Then provided me & a coworker with a ride to work. They were quick to diagnose the problem and were able to secure the parts needed to correct the problem. My car was ready the very next day and has been running well ever since. The Service Manager Jack made me feel like I had a brand new vehicle versus the old time Volvo that I am driving. He was so pleasant, helpful and kept me informed on the progress of the repair. I will definitely go back to Galpin for any service issues that arise in the future. And hopefully in the future will purchase a newer Volvo from Galpin. Great Service !!! More
I just had my Volvo C70 serviced at Galpin. Bill Baumgardner was the service advisor that took care of me. Like every other experience I've had at Galpin, this one was no different. Bill took care of my car in the amount of time he told me it would take. One part was needed for the care and was ordered. I just received a call from Bill saying that I could bring my car by to have that part installed quickly. Jeremy, the Volvo sales manager was, as always very accommodating while I waited for my car. Everyone I knew at Galpin that was working that day, a Saturday morning, came by to say hello to me. Peter Leiberman, who sold me my C70, came by to say hello. He now worked in finance. I felt like I was a part of a wonderful family at Galpin. I highly recommend this place to anyone that would ask about a great dealership. Wonderful experience. More
Nice looking place, serves great to calm the rage of getting ripped off. Had a check engine light on my 01 S60, diagnostic was $172... but none of that goes toward repair. Both Calabasis Volvo and Volvo getting ripped off. Had a check engine light on my 01 S60, diagnostic was $172... but none of that goes toward repair. Both Calabasis Volvo and Volvo of Los Angeles said they put the full cost of diagnostic towards repairs. The manager refused to budge on putting the diagnostic fee towards repair or to compete with the other local dealerships lower prices.
