I went to Galpin Honda a few days ago to get a car. My salesperson was Alexander Tumasov. Due to my previous credit history banks couldn't get me approved. I purchased a used Honda Element from Galpin after seeing it online. I do not particularly like the car buying process, but I can say I was lucky enough to meet and work with Philip. I never felt pressured to buy and he did everything he could to propose the best deals and options. They even beat the very competitive financing deal I was offered by my credit union. Philip made sure the I knew how everything worked, got my anti theft device installed same day and two years of free oil changes. Everyone was professional and as nice as can be. The process is too long (sadly no matter where you go)but they try to make it as painless as possible. More
We bought a 2008 Honda CR-V here yesterday. We lucked out and found the loss leader for the memorial day weekend was the right color. We were looked after by Philip Makertichian. I have been a member of the Galpin family of customers since 1988. I have purchased no fewer than seven [7] vehicles between Galpin Ford and Honda. It's very simple to attribute customer loyalty to gene since 1988. I have purchased no fewer than seven [7] vehicles between Galpin Ford and Honda. It's very simple to attribute customer loyalty to generic and almost "cliche" things like "they treat us well" or "the restaurant is cool", etc. But the reality is; I continue to return because GALPIN CARES. A company's best advertising is not on television or a bus bench or on a radio ad. It is person-to-person. Human beings helping other human beings. For this reason, I give Phil Makertichian a big pat on the back. People like Phil ARE Galpin's best advertisement. Pleasant, upbeat, understanding, INTERESTED in making the sale and fitting the right vehicle to the customer's needs as opposed to just moving units and generating volume. Phil was courteous, engaged and patient through every stage of the process. Even when the in-house Internet went down, and getting additional banking information became a bit of a challenge. Phil went the extra [in this case] 2-3 miles [versus the usual "one"] to make us comfortable, keep us informed and in the loop [I say "in the loop" because most poor car-buying experiences involve the salesperson vanishing frequently and just leaving the buyer adrift and in a quandary as to what is happening]. Phil worked diligently with his sales manager to accommodate some special needs and requests in regard to our down-payment, and was highly competent in his ability to explain parts of the process that were not easily understood by us. Finally, he made sure that the car was properly and very beautifully detailed. The car looked literally brand new. My closing statement which, coming from a 7-year veteran sales manager is not just "fumes" or empty rhetoric... Philip Makertichian is quite literally one of Galpin Honda's - and the ENTIRE Galpin family of dealerships, BEST ADVERTISEMENT. He is one of the most diligent and professional salespeople I have EVER worked with, either under my own watch as a manager, or in any sales scenario - especially purchasing a vehicle. My olderst daughter and I had been looking to buy a car for my other daughter. We looked everywhere. I even looked in the internet. I ended up at Galpin Honda from Mission Hills because at first they had a better internet deal and the younglady on the phone was very nice. We arrived at the dealer and met with Phil M. He was very professional from start to finish. Galpin Honda's customer service is far better than the local dealers we dealt with. Phil M presented us with a couple of cars that met our needs. We ended up buying one of them because Phil worked with us and gave us a great deal. I met some of the other folks at the dealership, including Ed, the main boss. It was a long process buying the car, but our friends at Galpin Honda made it a very nice experience. If I need to get another car in the future, I will definitely be driving to Mission Hills and visiting Galpin Honda. I have already recommended this dealership to relatives and friends. More

I spoke to D.J. in the Service Department and got attitude out of him, I told him someone had said to see him to have my weather stripping looked at on my 2010 Honda Civic as it was coming off on the attitude out of him, I told him someone had said to see him to have my weather stripping looked at on my 2010 Honda Civic as it was coming off on the drivers door. He said who did you talk too, I told him, I did not remember, all he had to do was look up my name on the computer to see I had a four o'clock appointment. The bottom line besides his attitude was, I was there for over a hour and they did not fix the problem. I have to go back as they had to special order the weather stripping, what a hassle and disappointment. I have had several problems with the car and it is my first new car. I will not buy another Honda, I will be looking at Kia's as they have come a long way in quality. More
I just bought my new 2011 Honda CRZ and the last thing I ever thought I'd be doing now is writing a review. But I was so impressed with the guys I worked with, particularly Ricky, that I had to put the wor ever thought I'd be doing now is writing a review. But I was so impressed with the guys I worked with, particularly Ricky, that I had to put the word out. These guys gave me a better deal than the one I had shopped online, and then beat it, and then beat it again. But beyond the deal, Ricky was frankly the type of guy who is a pleasure to deal with. He went so far beyond what I expected even after the deal was done, that I can only say he definitely in this business for the long term customer relationships and positive word of mouth. My sister had bought a car from him a couple months ago, and raved about him, and I was honestly skeptical, thinking a car salesman is a car salesman. Not so. These guys... Ricky, Shawn, and Steve in finance are genuinely good guys. Sure, their job is to try to earn some money for the dealership and themselves, but it never came at the expense of making a marginally happy customer a better deal so I would be thrilled. Bottom line: I left thrilled with my deal, and with my dealings with them. I'm a tough cookie when it comes to buying a car, and these guys were patient, respectful, and even entertaining! I would never buy another Honda without seeing Ricky first. He's been in the business a long time, and I can see why. More
