I purchased a used 2018 Chevy Malibu from Galles Chevrolet used cars on San Mateo back in December of 2022. Since then, I've had to replace the front right suspension. I experienced three blowouts. I experienced three blowouts. ,The tool and spare that came with the vehicle was rotted and did not work, and the tool to take the wheel off the car was the incorrect size it was from another vehicle. Now,the icing on the cake came in August of 2023 when the axle came off the car. I noticed as well the front fender appears to be chipping paint like it had been altered prior. To sell and made to look okay to the buyers eye. After discussing the issues with the general manager from gallas Chevrolet they immediately dismissed us and told us to refer to our Chevy protection plan. He was very arrogant and short fused. . It amazes me how quick they dropped their customer service. Now, I took the car to the service department at the other Chevrolet dealership Reliable Chevrolet on the other side of town cuz I did not want to deal with Gallas anymore. There I've experienced the same situation. The car sat in the lot for 15 days before they even look at it.The vehicle is still there and is going on a month and a week already. I filed a complaint with Chevrolet in Detroit and have a case manager of Mark following my situation. However I don't think Mark has actually giving me an update, I've always had to call him. So I'm going to put this out there - if anyone can help me legally and reference to my situation I would be most appreciative. I feel I'm a good person, and try to be ethical in my decisions. I think Pro:they washed my car before returning it Con: I spent north of $20000 with this dealership to get my car fixed. A majority of the cost was labor. For the job that was done, multiple diesel mechanics (3 in the Albuquerque area) quoted me 25-40 hours of labor. Galles charged 60 labor hours bringing the labor costs to $13000. I went with Galles because they quoted me the shortest time but didn't honor even that Con: they didn't offer me even an Uber to and from the dealership... even though I spent 10s of thousands of dollars. Not even going to mention what happened when I asked for a loaner. I spent $2000 on a rental Con: I would've only spent $1500 on the rental had they had my car taken care of in the time they quoted me. Not only this, I had to contact them multiple times to see where we were at in the process of completion. Matt in the service department laughed at me when I asked how much longer would it take. Then proceeded to tell me that other people need work on their cars too. I could go on but I'll be brief: I was treated like dirt and I question their billing practices. Went with my sister to get a car after her brand new car was totaled. This place charges a $7500 markup. They’re absolutely ridiculous. Will never buy there and will tell everyone else not to. Either wait, or find someone else that will work with you. We did, she got a car with $0 markup a week later somewhere else. If you keep buying from them, they’ll keep the markup. Forced me to buy a GPS system that I did not want. I needed a truck fast so I didn't have a choice. Whoever installed it did a terrible job and butchered the wiring under the dash.
