I scheduled an appointment with this dealership on July 20, due to my skid plate having possible damage. I worked with Rodney Pearson during my entire time at that store. This was my 1st time working with 20, due to my skid plate having possible damage. I worked with Rodney Pearson during my entire time at that store. This was my 1st time working with this dealership and I was out visiting family when my skid plate was possibly damaged. I requested that the dealership inspect my skid plate to see the integrity of the plate. Rodney set my appointment as a diagnostic appointment when the appointment was originally scheduled as a 30 day appointment. I paid $140 for them to inspect my car. They did not provide any other service , when I asked why the diagnostic fee was so expensive Rodney Pearson stated that the mechanic gets paid by the hour and not by the job. That same day I drove to West County Honda (Ellisville MO), where my car is usually serviced. Rodney original quoted me 490 (Skid plate repair + carbon filter + diagnostic fee + shop repairs). West County Honda quoted me half that price to repair the skid plate and they also stabilized the plate so that I was still able to drive the car without any problems. I was not charged a diagnostic fee. I felt that Rodney took advantage of the opportunity that I was not a Tennessee resident and that I was not going to be a regular customer. So he overcharged me! The car was fully serviced the day before bringing in the car to this HONDA dealership and Rodney has to know that. I’m sure he was able to pull up the record of what was previously done on my Honda. I told him all I need him to do is just check the skid plate that is all. The fact that Rodney was going to take off the diagnostic fee of $140 if I would have paid $300 to replace the skip plate and the carbon filter meant that he knew what the xxxx he was doing!
