I recently bought A 2003 ford explorer and love my new car. The whole experience in buying a used car from Grt was great. I even took my purchase to my mechanic prior to the sale and he gave it thumbs up! car. The whole experience in buying a used car from Grt was great. Went for a test drive on a car recently. Asked about the warranty that most used cars come with and right from the get go I was suspicious when I was told there is no warranty meaning that they have literal warranty that most used cars come with and right from the get go I was suspicious when I was told there is no warranty meaning that they have literally zero trust in the car that they are about to sell you. Salesperson told me not to go far on my test drive and now I know why. I made it maybe a mile down the road when the transmission started to slip and the car wouldn't accelerate to its full ability. Smells started coming from the car as if something was burning and I felt as if I was not going to make it back. Do not be fooled by his "LOW PRICE" because anyone can sell JUNK at a LOW PRICE. STAY AWAY! More
I recently purchased a car from Grt and by the time I got the car home the transmission was slipping. They had to have known that the transmission was bad when they sold it to me. I spoke with the salesperso the car home the transmission was slipping. They had to have known that the transmission was bad when they sold it to me. I spoke with the salesperson and he said that I had a warranty I could get it fixed through them and they would cover any of my out of pocket expenses. They lied. My cost after the warranty co paid was $1400 and they refused to pay. These guys are crooks do not buy a car from this place. More
I dont know what is with all the bad ratings. I bought an F150 there in march 2011, and it is a great truck. Yes, I put some $$ in it (about $500 and I didnt do the work myself like I normally do), but I an F150 there in march 2011, and it is a great truck. Yes, I put some $$ in it (about $500 and I didnt do the work myself like I normally do), but I knew that before I bought it. Talked down the price, and still am under book by a good $1500. Look people, they probably do buy wholesale from auctions (most places do), and only service what they need to, but these are USED VEHICLES AS-IS!!! If you want a factory reconditioned vehicle, go to the dealer and pay 20-30% more! Also, do your homework.. Get the carfax or autocheck, check the dipstick, coolant, trans fluid, etc. Test EVERYTHING on the test drive so you dont kick yourself later. Make sure you drive it more than 1 mile!! Check the undercarriage for oil and leaks. I drove an hour each way twice to look at and dive my truck before buying it. I think most of the naysayers here are more upset because they're own ignorance about car buying got the best of them. You also have to figure, GRT I'm sure doesnt drive these cars more than 10 miles before putting them up for sale, so even they may not be aware of any problems....buy the warranty. ...and no, I never worked there, and am not GRT themselves, or a friend...but I am also not an ignorant car buyer either. If the vehicle you are looking at is doubious, move on...no one is forcing you to buy from them. More
