Well, this was taken WAY OUT of context. Let's start at the beginning. 1)The vehicle in question was purchased on 01/09/2024 with 104,100miles on it and no extended Vehicle Service Contract/Warranty/Coverage was purchased with it. 2) On 04/06/2024 you reached out to us stating that the vehicle was having an issue. At that time, we recommended getting it diagnosed by a shop of your choosing. 3) On 04/16/2024 you had it diagnosed at a transmission shop of your choosing. With over 107,000 miles on the vehicle. During diagnosis, the transmission tech stated that he drove the vehicle (without a trailer) and the truck acted up within 30mins of normal driving. Upon returning to the shop the transmission tech found the code P0871 Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch "C" Circuit Range/Performance. At that time, he recommended rebuilding/upgrading/building the transmission with aftermarket parts/larger lines/upgrade valve body/shift kit/springs/etc. 4) Based upon what your transmission tech said, the other shops we talked to for second opinions, the miles put on the truck, etc. It does not appear to be anything that we missed on our end, but instead a new issue that occurred during your ownership. Now, let's address this twist of words. "I asked if the dealership expected their cars (especially ones sold for $30,000) to last until the first payment. His answer was essentially, "no." Buying from G5 Auto is, in his words, "a gamble."" - I said, "We hope the used vehicles we sell last a long time, but they are machines built by man. Unfortunately, we aren't able to and don't know anyone who is able to predict what will happen to a vehicle in the future." I then mentioned that it didn't look like you had elected to purchase a Vehicle Service Contract / Warranty at the time of purchase. You then confirmed that you chose not to purchase one. I then responded, "Ok, well this is something that a VSC/Warranty would have covered. Buying any vehicle out of warranty without a VSC/Warranty is a Gamble much like deciding to get liability coverage on a vehicle instead of full coverage." While it is an unfortunate situation that you have found yourself in; it is obvious there was no wrongdoing on our end, and nothing was missed during our inspection process. We wish you the best and hopefully you're able to find a solution that works for you.
