Received a text from the sales manager Lance that did not reflect the current advertised price and also included a $500 “pulse brake” add on. I pushed back asking why the price was not what wash shown online and asking to remove the pulse brake. Fast forward a week after requesting a formal purchase order multiple times and booking a flight to come get the car I was finally sent a formal PO however it also did not reflect their currently advertised price ($700 higher). I called to see why and Lance got extremely frustrated and said they could come down from the PO price by $100 and that they reserve the right to not honor their advertised price. Was extremely rude and said do you want the car or not? I was honestly shocked as I have never seen a dealer that would not honor the advertised price… More
I never heard back. The lady had music on loud and I doubt she was at the ford dealer. Looked at a possible trade in. Upon arriving, greeted immediately, and then sat for over 30 minutes with no one greeting us or following up. A customer's kid at the desk next to us Upon arriving, greeted immediately, and then sat for over 30 minutes with no one greeting us or following up. A customer's kid at the desk next to us was the friendliest person in that building. Jared finally saw us, inspected the car, instead of being honest, that my car had no value, he said the title being out of state stopped them from trading it in. My spouse and I both being military, living all over the country/world, never heard that as a reason to deny a consideration to trade in a vehicle. Jared also told us additional lies about our taxes, trying to convince us to buy from them vs. a normal sell. I hope the management does read this, as being obviously lied to will not make me want to give the company thousands of dollars in a new buy. Worst car sales experience my spouse and I have ever had at a dealership. Had better service trading in at another dealership. More
Was 30 minutes late to an appt, although I called well in advance to inform them I would be late. Did not get a response back, although the receptionist told me they would return my call. So I went ahead and advance to inform them I would be late. Did not get a response back, although the receptionist told me they would return my call. So I went ahead and took the 2 hour trip to the dealer, including the $50 ferry trip. They took the car in at 10:40, and I was told they should be able to get to it if I could leave it for the day. I made arrangements to leave it, which included an overnight stay as I would not be able to get a ferry back that evening. I was called at 2:30 and told the they would not be able to get to my vehicle. An entire day, hours of travel from a remote island, and they could not find time to change the oil in my van. And not even an apology. Absolutely some of the the worst service I have ever experienced. Would NOT recommend Frontier Ford to anyone. Go to someone with some customer service. More
Cannot recommend, as they will not stand by their used cars, and clearly are doing the bear minimum to bring a used car to market. We bought a high mileage single owner Tundra, that based on their feed cars, and clearly are doing the bear minimum to bring a used car to market. We bought a high mileage single owner Tundra, that based on their feedback had been well looked over, and was in good operating condition. It frankly looked great, and ran well. However, during the test drive, we had what seemed to be a simple alignment issue. Having had many cars with alignment issues we knew it was about $200 likely to get a fix at Les Schwab. They offered a credit being as it was s Saturday, and we were from out of town, which we accepted. Well, BUYER BEWARE. After further inspection and multiple trips, Les Schwab confirmed that the tires and suspension are shot, and offered a $2800 repair on the truck. Called back the team at Frontier Ford, who had previously been very accommodating, asking for resolution. We were offered a trade in, and no help (even simply running @ cost) on the repairs, and got the "we try our best when cars come in, and used high mileage cars are sold as is...etc" They knew they could have made a happy customer out of me with probably $1000 on their part to do the right thing, and chose otherwise. So, their inspection of a used vehicle left a major repair unresolved (not a good sign for their shop), and they were unwilling to do anything to help a customer 2 weeks after a purchase. Not the type of dealer that I would suggest to do business with, even if it is likely the more common approach for dealerships More
I walked and no one helped me, had to force myself to get help. Vehicle I was looking at was dirty but ran okay. I had issues with alignment with one of the van, I pointed it out and im petty sure that rub o help. Vehicle I was looking at was dirty but ran okay. Instead of helping me what my options are, felt pushed off. UPDATE: WENT TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP AND GOT APPROVED THESE PEOPLE DO NOT GIVE MINORITY A CHANCE More
Frontier Ford was a waste of a drive out to the dealer Sadly I would highly recommend going somewhere else. I drove 40 minutes to see a few of the vehicles advertized on their website. I even called ahead Sadly I would highly recommend going somewhere else. I drove 40 minutes to see a few of the vehicles advertized on their website. I even called ahead of time to make an appointment to make sure things would go as smoothly as possible. Unfortunately I was unable to make a deal with the dealership as (using COVID for every excuse in the book) the salesman said the manager had to make the deals. Waiting for an hour in the office just to speak with the manager was in insult. I saw the manager walking around and talking on his cell phone. Finally when I did talk to him he said they could not budge on any prices. Even though the website allows you to email them and get "Today's Price" in which no one ever returned my email. After he said his numbers were firm he said he would need all of my personal information in his system to see if there was any way to lower the price. He said it would be a few minutes... yet again. After sitting and waiting yet again for over a half hour of which he said would be a few minutes I got up and left. All the while I could see him in his office talking on his phone. After I left the salesman apologized and said it was because they were so busy... I didn't see them with any other customers while I was wasting my time sitting in the office waiting. Then the salesman said it was because of phone calls. I told him when you have a customer in the store that takes precedence over calls. BESIDES all of that. This dealer is unscrupulous. In one of the cars I took for a test drive the back window made screeching sounds while it was rolling up. The fact that they don't fix these issues with cars on their lot tells me they want to get away with selling it and making it the new owners responsiblity to deal with maintenance. Why would I buy a car on the lot that already needs maintenance before I even leave the lot? One of the other other vehicles wreaked like cigarettes. I was going to list the name of the manager but if you go to their website they don't even show show the staff. Then I drove all the way to Bruce Titus Port Orchard Ford to get the same vehicle at a competitive price and was greeted with nothing but friendly and smiling staff. More
We went to Frontier because there were some good reviews on the first site when looked up and on my phone. However, I can fully agree and testify to the experience that are being reported on Yelp. We went on the first site when looked up and on my phone. However, I can fully agree and testify to the experience that are being reported on Yelp. We went in to test drive a vehicle and looked at some others. When they noticed we were serious about buying they switched salesmen and said the first one had another customer but on the way out he told the first guy to stand post. I asked if he had another customer or was he standing post? Lie 1. Then I said I don't feel right about switching sales men and that I knew we needed to use someone else to close so we test drove with the first one. We went in to check on the price and they brought out a form that included $2500 in add-ons we didn't ask for. I ask them to take the add-ons off and let them know again we would be using our own bank to finance. I asked, if they would go down in price to and even $20,000 from $20,233 and he went back to the sales manager who insisted all the profits were in the add- ons we declined. Lie 2. They could have just said no but it was also only $233. We then asked about getting a warranty and the closer went back to the sales manager and returned saying he said, not if we are not financing with them. Lie 3. They said it would be a few more minutes and nearly a half hour later we asked what was taking so long and they said they needed to run it through the finance department even though we were financing with our bank. We had to come back to get the purchase agreement, then take it to our bank, go get a check and then go back to Frontier. At that point the financer asked if we wanted to include a warranty but the bank loan already went through and we had a check. Pretty lame. We tried to get an increase but couldn't. The financer asked a few times if we wanted to cancel our loan and finance with them. I finally told him how ridiculous that would be after we were lied to and not treated well and they would not budge on the price because we weren't financing through them to end up giving them what they wanted. We got the car and I let the closer no that we could've got a warranty and he insisted he was just the messenger for the sales manager. They washed it and brought it over "empty on fuel" and we noticed a drip of water on the cup holder near the stick shift. Thought it was from when they washing the windows. After the first rain about 4 days later my wife noticed rain dripping from the top of the windshield. I called back and the sales manager said once we buy we own it. He said it wasn't leaking on the lot or they're would be signs of it. Well today 8 days after buying the car during a heavy rain the cup holder is nearly full of water. We live in NW Washington with about 50" of rain a year and car gurus said the car has been there for over 120 days. The owner of Frontier Ford is responsible for hiring and continuing the employment of this staff which may be what he wants. Maybe he's making good money this way but I did not have a great experience and I am sharing my story with the people around me and on reviews. Maybe, just maybe the owner sees it or hears of it and takes action. I would also caution about 5 star reviews because there are a number of employees who have the ability to write reviews to help generate business. Don't know that's happening but I can tell you I did not get the 5 star treatment. More

Purchase price was $5500, about 1000 of which was for a GPS service and some kind of coating they had previously placed on the vehicle. In retrospect, we should have paid for neither, since the car was in such poor mechanical condition. My husband drove off the lot and the next day the check engine light came on. Long story short, we have about $5000 worth of repairs. That is essentially the cost of the vehicle. Problems: replace rear differential, an unattached completely non-working AC unit, 2 knock sensors out, several spark plugs, the entire exhaust manifold, a major leak seal in the engine, a seat that didn't fold properly, lights that needed to be replaced, windshield wipers that needed to be replaced. And the list is still growing. We understand that the deal was as is and that there is no guarantee. We also think that a good business would have a vehicle in decent working condition, expecting some repairs. This is unacceptable to us. This is poor business. They made money and we got a lemon that we are trying to figure out how to pay for and repair so that our single income family can have a working vehicle. I contacted them through a message on their website - that was never returned. I called and spoke to the first John, who took my number and said he would get back to me and never did. I spoke to John B., the 3rd time, who reminded me it was as is, and said "I'm sorry", and that he would get back to me. He did do that. And when I returned the call, let me know there was pretty much nothing they could do except maybe give %10 off at repairs in their shop. My husband thought in good faith that we were buying a decent, not perfect, vehicle. We will not do business there again, and we do not recommend buying a vehicle from them. That vehicle should have been sent to auction, not sold on a major dealership's lot. Everyone who we have shared this story with thinks it is terrible. Feeling very discouraged and struggling to figure out how to pay for this. Good business owners make things right, even when it is at some cost to them. More
