Subpar compared to previous service department experiences Was greeted by the “New Service manager” Andrew who was wearing his Hyundai jacket at the Dodge dealership. He wrote the ticket for the service I need Was greeted by the “New Service manager” Andrew who was wearing his Hyundai jacket at the Dodge dealership. He wrote the ticket for the service I needed (which I had to translate for the service writer because he couldn’t read what Andrew had scribbled on my service ticket). Andrew then did a walk around of my vehicle and told me I needed a new rear windshield wiper and offered to write up a quote for a new one. Wasn’t pleased that the “New Service manager” was trying to upsell me when I was there for a tire balance and rotatation. I’ve NEVER had any service person at Frontier Dodge try to upsell me until this new person did and I’ve been a customer for 12 years. Until this visit, I’ve had excellent experiences with the service department at Frontier. In addition, while waiting for a ride home, I observed the “New Service manager” Andrew talking with employees in the car lot while vehicles were backing up in the service bay. John was actively writing tickets and tending to customers. Shouldn’t the “New Service manager” be managing his department and not chatting with employees in the used car lot? Tony, Mike and John are great. Based on these reasons I will not recommend anyone service their vehicles at Frontier Dodge. More

Took the vehicle in the night before in order to be ready first thing. About 4:00pm the next day, I called them to check status; they were “just now” pulling it in to check. Bottom line, vehicle out of service the whole day for a job that should not have taken more than 20-30minutes after having an 8:00 am appt unacceptable! More

Lying Scam Artists Called last week to schedule a service appointment for my Ram 2500 to check why exactly my engine light was on. Was then informed that at my mileage ( Called last week to schedule a service appointment for my Ram 2500 to check why exactly my engine light was on. Was then informed that at my mileage (67,500), I need the CCV filter changed, EGR valve and cooler cleaned, and it would be $1300. I was told that if I didn't have this done, my truck would start to shut down. After some research through my owners manuals and online Cummins forums, it turns out that with a DEF system the cleaning isn't necessary anymore, especially since I don't haul or tow anything. I also bought the CCV filter for $80 and replaced it myself, saving myself from paying these scam artists, willing to take advantage of a female with semi-limited knowledge of her new truck. I was going to keep that appointment, however, because there are some recalls that need to be fixed, and my truck "has to be in hand" before the water pump can be ordered (which when I asked why never received an actual answer), meaning it would be in the shop several days. I was leaving town for a week, so it would have been perfect to leave my truck there, except I was told the service department closed at 6 pm on Saturday, and when I pulled up at 5:15 it had apparently closed at 4. Needless to say, the service department doesn't even deserve one star, and I will not be bringing my truck back here for anything anymore. More
