What a frustrating experience! After reading the reviews I can understand where a lot of people are coming from. Obviously, not every vehicle Fritz sells has issues, but based on m After reading the reviews I can understand where a lot of people are coming from. Obviously, not every vehicle Fritz sells has issues, but based on my experience when vehicles do have an issue, Fritz is not interested in fixing any problems. I was able to test drive a minivan and take it to a mechanic for an inspection. The inspection, done by a bipartisan 3rd party and highly reputable company, Midas, stated the van needed about $3800 worth of work done. Some of it was normal wear a tear for a used car, break pads, wipers, and such but some items were bigger like rotors, struts, and shocks. The salesman said he would not fix anything unless I wanted to pay for it in the price of the van. He said they were "not responsible for normal wear and tear on the vehicle" and he would not fix anything. When I asked why someone would pay $25,000 for a van only to put another $4000 into it in the next few months he said it wasn't his responsibility. The salesman never talked to the service department or a manager. Clearly, selling a vehicle with issues is not a concern for Fritz. The salesman even said, we "allow" u to get an inspection done so that you know what u are getting into. It is obvious that selling a vehicle with issues, potential SAFETY issues at that, is not a concern for them. I would HIGHLY recommend getting an inspection before purchasing anything from Fritz. Used cars are somewhat of a gamble, sure. But who knowingly drives a car off the lot with definite bigger issues in the next few months?!?! I feel that knowingly selling a car with problems, and refusing to fix them, seems borderline unethical. I can't imagine this is a practice that would be tolerated by management or the owner but based on previous reviews it does seem to be something that has happened multiple times at Fritz. At this point, I am not even sure they'd take ANY responsibility to fix their seemingly "shady" practices should something major go wrong. I'm luckier than others because I had the inspection and could go back into the dealership with the print out. But I was still told they would not fix the problems with the van and should expect those kind of problems when buying any used car. More
Very nice and clean car lot , Quality cars and a no pressure sales staff . Very disappointing experience. After wiring the money for the car which was supposed to be ready for delivery, the dealership said it would take 3 more day to be released to th After wiring the money for the car which was supposed to be ready for delivery, the dealership said it would take 3 more day to be released to the shipper. After an angry phone call with the manager, he then told me a light on the dashboard was not working and the part was ordered. Poor communication. He could have mentioned that in the first conversation. Then, to top it off, when the vehicle was delivered, there was no title or additional paperwork to show ownership. The delivery driver knew nothing. Still awaiting a communication on that. More
