I had to search for a Suburban to meet my criteria. The Fridley Dealership did not have a Suburban that I liked. I recently bought a 2005 Impala from the Bargain Lot. Dana Pitann was helpful in selecting the car with me. The Impala seemed to drive OK during the test drive. BUT just 3 days later I noticed the transmission would slip/jerk terribly at times. I took it to a transmission shop to be diagnosised. I contacted Dana and told him the issue with the car's transmission. He told me to keep him posted. Since it was already in the transmission shop I decided to let an outside transmission shop fix the problem. The transmission was bad and needed to be replaced. I tried contacting the Used Car Manager, Rob Owens but I was ignored. Over the years I HAD bought many cars from Friendly Fridley but they have now lost me as a future customer. It seems sad I have to put in over $2000 in a car just 3 days after purchasing it. And it's sad I was basically ignored by the used car manager. It's even sadder that this vehicle was their "best" used car. If the Impala was their "best" vehicle one has to wonder the quality of their other used cars.It is also bad how they treatrd meas a repeat customers. So if you are looking for a good quality used car I would recommend that you buy it somewhere OTHER than Friendly Fridley. My most recent experience was a bad one. . More
I felt like i was in a lion's den. Whoever was the " Trade In Iraqi Vet" guy was, he was a monster aided by his "troops" of other Friendly Fridley workers who gathered to watch this guy try and rip me " Trade In Iraqi Vet" guy was, he was a monster aided by his "troops" of other Friendly Fridley workers who gathered to watch this guy try and rip me off on my trades. Wally, was supposed to be in charge of my deal, when he just plain didn't have the time. I signed the deal, well after dark AND closing... only on the third day i came out there. Then Wally tells me i need to come back to get the key-fab coded with my 2009 2500 Silverado, that was after he suggested the truck DID NOT COME WITH A KEY-FAB, and i asked him to pull the accessory sheet, and low and behold, it was included. When i came back a FOURTH time, the day before i needed to leave for Florida, which he knew from day one that i was purchasing the truck specifically for the trip and when i was leaving, to get the key-fab coded, they couldn't get it done, and handed me two different key-fabs and told me to go to a dealer in Florida and get it done. ALSO, HAVING PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON SEPT 4TH, THE PAY-OFF CHECK NEVER GOT TO MY BANK UNTIL SEVEN (7) DAYS LATER, COSTING ME TO ACCRU UNDUE EXPENSE IN THE FORM OF THE DAILY INTEREST. I WOULD'NT SEND ANYONE TO FRIENDLY FRIDLEY!!!!! More
I recently had a great experience at Friendly Chevrolet. I actually went to buy a used car that I had seen online. The salesman that I worked with was Wally Johnson. I did not feel any pressure. Let us have some private time to talk about the car. I then asked to look at a Impala and he showed us the car. Again he gave us the time to talk about it - there was absolutely no pressure. He gave us the information about the cars (the certified information) and let us make the decision. He was very professional, courteous and great to deal with. In addition, everyone else that I came in contact with at the dealership was great. I recently went back to get a car wash and this also has made the experience great. More
Bought a used Tahoe just over a wek ago. Took a short trip to southern MN over the weekend. While on the trip the vehicle cruise control stopped working. Also as we started the drive in the early morning the auto headlights started flickering. I callled the dealership on Saturday and was told that I would have to talk with the sales manager on Momday. I left a message a was called back late morning on Monday by the sales manager. He told me to schedule an appointment with the service department and they would look at it. Went in for the appointment today, and after several hours wait the service staff informed us that the remote starter was causing the cruise and the rear break lights not to work properly. They informed us that they had disconnected the remote start but the cruise and rear break lights worked just find; good bye. Now I have a vehicle that had remote start for this winter that works just fine but is not operational bucause it was the quick fix for the real problem. xxxx of a way to take care of a customer.
