Bought a used truck on March 7, took a couple trips, in 1000 miles from Friday to Monday. Tuesday March 11, truck wouldn't move. Transmission was completely gone. Texted the Salesman, said he would he 1000 miles from Friday to Monday. Tuesday March 11, truck wouldn't move. Transmission was completely gone. Texted the Salesman, said he would he would have someone contact me. No one did. I reached out again, said I would be contacted. No one contacted me. I called again. The third time, I talked with Mike. After telling him I bought the truck on a Friday, and on Tuesday it didn't even move. His response was "Do you have AAA, or a way to tow it in". I had to advocate to have them take care of the tow. My expectations in buying a used car from a dealer were realistic. I assumed the risk of a used car, but I expected that if something catastrophic happened that they would make efforts to do the right thing. The vehicle was towed in on March 13. said they would not be able to get it until Friday. No calls. I texted on Monday March 17th. They called back. Said they need to have an "experienced technician look at it, to make sure they diagnosed properly" March 18-No communication March 19-No communication March 20- I called them March 21-No call all day -I called in the evening. Was told transmission was bad, I would have to pay half. $3700.00. March 25- They called, transmission was fixed. I needed to get an invoice to take care of my half. Mike told me directly that they would deliver the truck for me. March 26-No invoice March 27-No invoice- called left message, said I still needed an invoice. March 28- Got the invoice- Paid- I asked and stated clearly that Mike told me the truck would be delivered. March 29- No Vehicle- My expectations were, and continue to be reasonable. I expect clear timely communication, and follow through actions- These expectations were not met. More
My problem with this company is their service department. After being screwed around with for 6 months trying to figure out this issue…I finally talked with the head tech and he did a ride along and told me After being screwed around with for 6 months trying to figure out this issue…I finally talked with the head tech and he did a ride along and told me exactly where the problem was. 3 days later they say they looked and found nothing wrong. When pressured about it…..they did nothing but shift from 2 to 4 wheel drive and listen to the engine!!!!!! That’s it?!? When I asked why they didn’t take the transfer case apart after he clearly said it was bound up he says well it shifted fine now!!!!! They CLEARLY don’t want to do repair work at this REPAIR shop because why…….i have a warranty…..and yes I bought the car and warrenty from them!!!!!! I’m being screwed with until my warrenty runs out…… stay away from “friendly” chev!!!!!! More

Took my car in to be serviced. Was told there would be a diagnostic test fee to discover the issue. Don't like that but fine. Unfortunately, the cost of the needed repairs far exceeded the value of the vehicle so I chose not to move forward with the suggested repairs. What I take issue with is they charged me not 1, but 2 diagnostic fees, one for each issue I was told. This is absolutely insane and borderline criminal. I had to pay $350 just to find out I have a care that is not worth fixing. Then when I went to pick it up, THEY LOST MY KEYS! I had to wait a half an hour while they looked everywhere in the building it seemed and had to call multiple people not working at the time. I stood there for a half an hour before they found them. Extremely unprofessional. More

I recently contacted Friendly Chevrolet via email to inquire about a specific used car. Kiowa, one of their salesmen, assured me that the car was available and even scheduled a test drive appointment. H inquire about a specific used car. However, upon arriving at the dealership, I was informed that the car was out for cleaning and not accessible. When I questioned Kiowa about why he hadn’t verified the car’s availability beforehand, he responded that he didn’t expect me to show up. Unfortunately, this miscommunication resulted in wasting over an hour of my time. It’s incredibly frustrating that Kiowa couldn’t be bothered to take a few minutes and confirm if the car was available. Friendly Chevrolet needs to improve their communication and ensure accurate information is provided to customers before scheduling appointments. More

UPDATE: Was contacted by service director and apologized for the lack of communication. He did a great job of making it right. Will consider brining back car to dealer. My truck needed to have the rear oil housing seal replaced. All fine and dandy. This 7 hour shop time repair took 6 days, which I would have been ok with if my service coordinator would have called to let me know or returned calls in a timely manner. Since I had brought it in for an oil change as well, they said they would not charge me for the oil change, since with the repair they needed to replace the oil anyway. Low and behold when I was charged they included the oil change as well on top of the quoted repair for the oil housing. I am ok with issues going on with mechanics being sick or other issues popping up. I just didn’t appreciate the radio silence. I have enjoyed taking my car here in the past and purchasing three cars from here. I will not be going back or purchasing another car from Friendly. More
